BUYER BEWARE:: After searching around for somewhere to get my wedding dress altered i finally settled on this local business. When i went in to get a quote on what needed to be done to my dress they said easily that they could do it. I needed bust cups added, i needed it hemmed, the shoulders to be taken and a bustle to be added. On my first visit we paid in full. And that was the ONLY visit that was not a disaster. On my second visit, i was supposed to get my dress back to take home. They have had the dress for a month and a half at this point. My dad noticed that the zipper was broke and that the hem still wasnt done. We pointed this out to them and they asked if i wanted to take it home anyways? We obviously said no and asked them to fix where THEY broke the zipper and to finish the hem. My next appointment was a month later. At this point they have had the dress in their possession longer than i have. As im putting the dress on i notice red lipstick on the inside, i let it go. When im looking at the dress in the mirror i notice the hem still isnt done. Also i noticed makeup (self tanner or foundation) on the sleeve. I do not wear make up. In the 5 times i have put the dress on i havent worn make up. So once again i have to leave the dress just while i go get lunch so they can finish the hem. When i was handed my dress bag i noticed what looked like chocolate on the outside of my dress bag. So after 2 and half months i got my brand new dress back in worse condition. I called the store after a day of it bothering me. I talked to a really nice sales lady that told me to call back later to speak to the owner. When i called back the owner still wasnt available so the had me talk to the woman who did the alterations, she was nasty. As i was explaining what happened she automatically went on the offensive. She didnt do anything wrong. It was my fault. So on. So i call the owner the next day. After telling her this exact story she said it was their busiest time of year. She also said when i came in they pointed out the stains to me since the dress came from davids bridal. This did not happened. The stains werent even on my dress during the second visit. My dad, step mom, or myself would have noticed. Also, we have pictures from everytime i have tried it on, the stains are not any of the pictures. The owner was insistent that they did what they were suppose to and was rude through the whole thing. This entire experience was RIDICULOUS. It is obvious that because i brought in an outside dress they did not care for it very well. This has made my wedding process even more stressful. I recommend never using this place for anything unless you want someone to half ass it and then be...
Read moreI came here to have my wedding gown altered. When I came in for the first fitting, I had to wait quite a while despite having an appointment. Once I got into the dress (by myself, because no one was available to assist me) I realized they had not properly hemmed the dress. The layers of the dress were all different lengths. I pointed this out and they said they would fix it. For my second fitting, I came in and they didn’t want me to try on the dress. They told me it was just a pick up appointment and sent me on my way. I got the dress home and the hook and eye that had been added to the top of the dress was improperly placed. The bustle for the train had also been done incorrectly. I brought the dress back to the store and requested the problems be fixed. I picked up the dress for a third time and took it home without trying it on again. I assumed that all issues have been resolved. That was my own mistake. Shortly after arriving home, I was made aware that they did not give me my veil back. No problem, just went back. Unfortunately, it was not until my wedding reception when I tried to bustle it that we found out that the alterations were still wrong. I was unable to do my first dance as planned because the dress was dragging so severely. I was heartbroken. My husband and I spent weeks learning the choreography just to have the moment taken away by a store who either doesn’t know how to do alterations or doesn’t care about the quality...
Read moreWe purchased a dress about a week to a week and half ago, paid in full. The store kept the dress until the scheduled fitting appt. no alterations have been done. Due to it being alittle to short and small, my dtr decided to find a different dress. The store refuses to refund my money. I could understand if the dress had been taken out of the store, or altered or held for a month even. She said she will give in store credit, my dtr is a Sr so will not need another dress. I am a single mom, no help from anyone. Just wanted to give my dtr a beautiful dress for...
