You will not find better basic donuts in the entire world than here. I have literally traveled the world and still come back to my hometown donut shop. The experience is very simple, you walk through the creaky squeaking screen door and here it's slightly slammed behind you. You are then embraced by the aroma of delicious donuts that you can almost taste in the air. Don't worry about getting anything fancy. Go for the basic donut that will melt in your mouth and bring you edible happiness.

The Duchess Bakery is a step back in time to a friendly, fantastic smelling, very clean old fashioned bakery. They have beautiful cakes, great doughnuts and yummy cookies. Although they no longer make those incredible chocolate coconut macaroons, everything else is delicious. Thank you for being so friendly and keeping this shop open.

Stopped in for a couple of donuts and got the sour cream glazed. Homemade goodness. They have good prices on cakes also. We will be back again

Duchess Bakery is a solid local donut spot with a ton of history! It's been around for a long time! I will say that their donut menu is a bit limited and they're not known for making any crazy or incredibly unique donuts. And they do not serve any kind of cake donut. (I'm partial to blueberry). However, they are famous for their simple glazed donuts and rightfully so. If you are lucky enough to get them warm, they melt in your mouth. A guilty pleasure for sure. They serve other things here too, such as cookies, but I've never tried them. And there are other donuts on the menu. But you can't walk into this place and NOT walk out with a bag of glazed donuts. It would be a sin. I have seen other reviews where people have talked about them being "out of donuts". And it is true, they try to make enough to get them through the day and nothing more. Sometimes they run out, and that's it. So come early. You'll likely stand in line for a few minutes, but it's worth the...

Good donuts if you time your arrival perfectly - otherwise they are consistently sold out of anything fresh. I’ve been there 6 times, and on 4 occasions had to leave and go find donuts elsewhere - watched other potential patrons doing the same thing. The single “$” is a joke, this is easily the most expensive place in the region for donuts - should be “$$$”. And for the exclusive opportunity to blow a bunch of money on a severely limited selection of stale sugar-bombs, you’re rewarded with poor customer service - expect to be “processed” by robotic staff who appear to hate their job - think McDonalds. After giving Duchess every opportunity to keep me as a customer, I actually try to support small business whenever I can, my go-to now is Daylight Donuts...
