If you had asked me two weeks ago, it would have been 5 stars, this last experience I would honestly give a 2 star. The three prior pedicures were the absolute BEST I have ever had. I get the $55 pedi with the 10 minute massage and paraffin wax, and they are meticulous it’s just fabulous. I went last week and told her what I wanted (this girl I had never had before, the ones I requested were off that day) and she started. Roughly 5 minutes into the appointment she lit this tiny candle and started encouraging me to add this other pedicure instead and was telling me she would pour the oils from the candle on my feet, and said it’s just a couple of dollars more. I told her no thank you that I have sensitive skin and choose this one on purpose. She went on and on trying to convince me, but I still said no. As the appointment went on, she turned on the timer to 10 minutes and then left to get the wax. She came back and put my feet in and the timer was on 6 minutes. I said to her “this must be a different option than I chose because the other ladies show me the timer (on purpose) when they start it, and massage for 10 minutes”. She immediately took the wax off (the wax wasn’t even dry at this point, literally like 1 minute) and said “oh I messed up, they make us remember all these routines and keep changing it for us and I forgot I’m so sorry”. She knew I was upset and was aware that she was shorting my chosen pedicure, and from that point kept talking to me about her family and home, asking me about my family. When I went to check out I noticed a chalkboard sign showing a special pedicure in which wax was poured on…$75. So that extra couple dollar add on she was trying to get me to unknowingly choose a $75 pedicure. I will still go back and only choose the two girls I saw prior, as they were amazing, but she definitely made me feel like she was trying to pull a fast one and I didn’t like that at all.

Location itself is great. If you get Eric ask for someone else. Period. I wish these pictures were fake of the “manicure” I just got but they are not. I had previously gotten tips and powder dip put on at this location and went to have them taken off in preparation for a move. I just wanted my nails cleaned, a manicure, and regular polish. My manicure was the most hurried, sloppy and half finished manicure I’ve ever had. Eric seemed in such a hurry to take off my old nails and cut my cuticle he cut too far several times making me bleed once. He left so much residue on my nails and natural tips then just put a ton of polish on then to try to cover it up. My polish color is ridiculously uneven and my tips of my nails are incredibly rough. He never buffed my nails and only slightly filed the edges AFTER he put the polish on. He even asked if I wanted my nails cut and I said yes. That didn’t happen, only a slight file after the polish was on. He never asked what shape I wanted. But he didn’t even file them enough to change their original shape. I even commented on how rough my nail edges were and he seemed to completely dismiss it. His response was something about how when I wash my hands it would come off. I can’t wash off rough nails. I’m embarrassed to say I paid money to have this done and will be taking this polish off later tonight. I would have had him redo it but didn’t have time and frankly didn’t want to have him work on my nails anymore.

Do not come to this place whatsoever. I stopped coming here once before because 1) their technicians can not do nails or pedicure and 2) they do nothing but lie. My daughter was just set on coming here, but she learned a valuable lesson today. Everything that looks pretty but good for you. I told the staff not to separate me nor my daughter because certain ones can’t do nails and certain ones lie. Once we sit down to do the pedicure they pulled my daughter to another location. I called her on FaceTime and i heard the dude telling her he’s going to do something that looks natural. Her nails look a hot mess and he tried to say she agree which she didn’t. I confronted him and he continued to try to put words in her mouth. I told them I’m not paying for that mess and to take it off. In my opinion they don’t respect black customers at all. They do whatever to your nails and expect payment. I’ve seen them do this before to other black customers. They dare not try it with white customers. It’s ok I’m report them and this guy on the pic below. Stay away from this place. They are overpriced and they can’t do nails nor pedicure l.

I tried SO hard to like this place. My pedicures are always nice, and Jan does a pretty good job on nails. But my first time there was horrible. The tech Kayla barely drilled any previous acrylic off before putting the new layer over the top. I kept trying to ask her to even out the length and idk if she wasn’t understanding me or what but she was not getting it. She clearly was getting annoyed by me telling her how I wanted them so she started throwing my hands back and getting snappy which I found pretty rude. The color ended up splotchy and so I asked them to fix and they ended up having to paint over because of the low quality powder. The ending result was thick, bubbly and ended up lifting in less than a week. I complained and asked for a refund and they literally begged me to give them a second chance. They said I could come back and get a new set on them. When they offered me this I clearly explained that I did not have the time to come back at all because of my work schedule, I just wanted a refund. They said it was ok I could come back any time just please give them a second chance. So I did. Now when I came back they gave me a hard time saying it’s been too long I needed to come back the same week so now they could only offer me 30% off. They got the owner on the phone and he straightened it out. Jan did my nails and they were great. I came back to her 2 or 3 more times. This last visit she was off but it was the only day I was able to make it. So I asked if I could please get someone more experienced and someone that does a good job. They give me Kayla again.... once I realized I asked for someone else who was very kind and clearly he tried but my nails are too thick and I had to file them down and even them out myself once I got home. I would have let this slide under the rug because at least he was kind and he tried and just make sure I only go to Jan. But once I got home I realized they OVERCHARGED me for the same thing I always get. The colors suck and the front service is not great so even tho it’s hard to find a good nail tech and I was happy to find Jan I just can’t give this place my money anymore. It’s 0% worth it. I’d rather go through the trouble of trying other salons to find a...

I have been a customer of Ocean Nails since they opened their doors. The only reason I go there is because of Teresa. I have been a customer of hers for 7 years. They have been through owner and manager changes as all the salons do. I love the services they provide but this Monday I called and asked for an appointment and had asked if Teresa was back from vacation. The young man said let me check, came back and said no she's on vacation - can someone else do for you and can you come now, and I said no. I said I thought she was back from vacation, put me on hold again and came back and said no she is still on vacation and not here Thursday. I said thank you and hung up. I really needed an appointment for my daughter back to school so I called back and said I wanted to make appointments for the both of us, which I have never done. Same young man answered the phone and took my appointments and asked if I wanted anyone in particular and I replied just give me someone who is good. I also jokingly said, if Teresa is there and I come in I am going to be really mad. He laughed. All the conversations felt Shady. So I go in to our appointments and she is there and she is NOT ON VACATION. These salons need to understand if we want someone to do our nails and they are there they SHOULD NEVER try to get you to come in because they are slow or want to give someone else the work. But to make matters worse the manager knew I was mad and came over said her apologies etc. and that the young man doesn't work there anymore, which I found odd, that 4 days later he doesn't work there. I do not mind a manager trying to make it right, but some of the things she were saying were just not true. I feel heartbroken, I have been loyal to Ocean Nails all this time, I have spent A LOT of money there and this is how they treat their clients AND their great nail technicians. Very disappointed. If Ocean Nails treats their technicians this way I might need to go somewhere else, I am not a fan of not treating your employees like this, EVER,...
