Overall would not recommend. The food was not up to my expectations. All the staff were doing everything right and I have no complaints about service or cleanliness or anything! Just the food. Unfortunately, most of it was pretty bland. Some of the sides had no seasonings or salt. Like the green beans, they were seemingly just canned cut green beans sitting in water with no seasoning or anything. The corn was the same. The person I dined with was so disappointed with the chicken fried steak-- the texture of the meat, the lack of flavor, and apparently the gravy was watery. We got queso to both enjoy, but it tasted so fake and store-bought that we didn't even really eat it. And we EAT lol. I was embarrassed that my company was unsatisfied with the whole meal from start to finish.
I understand that all tastes are diverse and some people like their food plain, but I personally would not have come eat here if I had known how plain most of the the food is. I felt I could have recreated the entire table spread with premade items from the grocery store.
The quality of the food (and the care put into it) did not warrant the menu prices for me. It was pretty much diner quick blitzed food, but a restaurant price point.
The cajun pasta was the only thing on the menu I would recommend. It had vibrant flavor, tons of visible seasoning! It doesn't come with sides, but you won't be missing much.
Overall it's nice to try new restaurants but don't go rush out to Andy's unless you're really hungry for plain steamed vegetables and low...
Read moreI went there hoping they would have a fun Wednesday Karaoke night. Well, their food is fine, and the place is sort of clean, but I got their early so I could get plenty of singing reps in. I was the third person on the list, and sang my song.
Then I had to wait more than 22 singers, one hour in a half, on a Wednesday night to sing my second song. New people came in, and they let them go to the front of the line. The singers weren't very good whatsoever. Nobody you would ever want to listen to, let alone spend a night listening to them when there are so many other things to do.
I figured, since they didn't give anyone more than one chance to sing, they never build a cliental of singers who practice, and like to entertain. It was one horrible singer after another.
I would have left after 45 minutes, but I wanted them to see that it's entertaining to actually listen to someone that knows how to sing. It was horrible.
The DJ has a good sound system, so the place has potential. It's just ridiculous that they put new people ahead of those that are already in line. And because of that, they have a cliental of people who wouldn't qualify as beginner, or a hack. Who is going to practice, and be entertaining if you're only given one chance to sing. It was horrible.
I gave the bar 3 stars because the food and the bar are fine. Just why does the DJ keep putting new people ahead of those who are already on the list. It's like Karaoke for the...
