They did not have name tags and don’t you dare try talking to them because they will ignore you unless people are watching. I tried calling to talk to someone in charge but no one answered the phone when I called a couple of times, So here I go trying to write a review for everyone to know. 3 disturbing situations happened that compels me to write this. the first situation is a tall Caucasian female with silver but short hair was the worst. I walked from the back of the building to the front of the building to the front of the building to go pay for my things. I witness this tall Caucasian woman talking to this Indian kid without the mother around like he was a dog and all the child was doing is looking for the restroom. The kid was special needs and she kept acting like this small child was stealing. Its cowardly to harass a child because they can not defend themselves and its monstrous to go after children, the small child kept saying I want to go to my momma like a bunch of times and she would keep holding him there, finally she let him go and he ran upstairs to his mother fast. I would also run fast from someone being that aggressive and taller than me. Second situation, I am there with my partner and we are getting jewelry, the short old Caucasian lady at the register did not need to come to the situation with me and the other sales rep because she was already taking care of me and my partner, but of course she rushed over to make sure that the situation is handled how she thought we were supposed to be treated. As a person that buys jewelry and makes real jewelry, you have to let the customers look at said product because it is absolutely rude and offensive to assume that the articles will disappear, Besides that’s what cameras are for. Short Caucasian old woman decides to act like me and my partner that are about pay at the cash register. She starts acting like we are going to steal the jewelry and run out the store, and how did she do this you ask? She aggressively made sure to ask in a “hurry up and buy” kinda way and held the jewelry close to her chest as much as possible and demanded we put the articles in this wooden bowl “for safe keeping from us”. So its always in her sight, all you gotta do is give my partner and I a second and we would have bought the jewelry. Which we did buy them and rush out the store because the whole situation was horrid. The third situation, middle eastern woman that speaks perfect English, tall silver short haired woman decides to act like she is being bothered and talked to the middle eastern rudely like a dog. And I quote “you……..put…..that…..cart ….there” as to assume the middle eastern woman could not speak English and the tall silvered haired lady is very annoyed. These two women are the worst and if they go to the same church then god bless them and I would never want to go there. They might kill me with evil stairs the whole time. Where in the bible does it say that if you are not Caucasian that you are no better than the horse or dog or any other animal? Because I never it there and its crazy that people anywhere in America to act like this.
Now all the patrons and reps of the store were not bad and most are polite. The young lady with dark hair is polite and professional, attentive, and she keeps this place running like a ship. Talks to everyone with respect and I commend her on her sturdily great behavior. Going to get her name and write an awesome review about her.
I write this in hopes that things get better, if I see them I will run to my car and drive away faster than ever, the treatment from those two individuals….sheesh. also I went...
Read moreI recently visited The Hope Chest Resale Market (it was my first time being there) and, unfortunately, my experience was soured by how the ladies at the register treated a woman who was shopping with her young son. While I completely understand that it's important to maintain a safe and pleasant shopping environment, the way this situation was handled left a lot to be desired.
The woman was trying to browse the store while her son, likely a bit energetic and unruly, was exploring the area on his own. Instead of offering any kind of POLITE suggestion or understanding, the employees approached her with a level of disdain and said, "He is being too much, just too much," all while wearing an expression of clear disgust. It was uncomfortable to watch, and the tone was unnecessarily harsh.
It's one thing to enforce store policies regarding unattended children, but there's no excuse for treating someone with that kind of disdain. A simple reminder or more compassionate way of addressing the situation would have been far more appropriate. I hope the management takes note of how their staff handles such interactions in the future, as it left a bad impression on not only the woman but also those of us who...
Read moreI have been a frequent shopper here since it opened. It is clean and well organized but They USED to be so nice… but never greeted anymore and just seem rude in general.or they pick and choose who they will say hello or thank you for shopping with us etc.
Aside from that recently they have gotten GREEDY with the prices. Used to find great deals, now few and far between!! the furniture is very pricy esp when you can buy some of it new online these days for less. Which I could understand if it was vintage or good items but half of it is stained/ gouged or damaged. They get donations and some liquidation items (new mattresses. Etc) that they will sell for almost $400 some even more 🫣 Sadly, the pricing has just gotten out of control. I think they forgot they are a thrift store not a retail store. I have been in there when they receive walk in donation and the staff was in awe picking through the items. I heard them actually talking about the value of each item that was just donated. It was really sad, especially because they got it all for free. I understand making a profit for a good cause, but this will eventually ruin the good cause they...
