I edited to add- went back two years later hoping things had changed. Asked for a simple swing bob hair cut. First Lady was extremely nervous and didn’t want to do it so the owner took over. The owner cut my hair with clippers. Left it extremely choppy and uneven. I’ve spent two months trying to let it grow and slowly trimming it to straighten it out so I can get it cut again. Will never step foot in here again.
Ive tried this place 3 times and it's pretty hit or miss. First cut was perfect, second horrible mess and the third was uneven. One side is longer than the other and choppy. Unfortunately I'm not willing to go shorter to fix it so I haven't and probably won't be back. It would help if I could use the same person and build a relationship with them, but staff turn over seems very high. No one seems to last more than a few months. That being said I am referring to a womans haircut, my boyfriend who just gets a simple buzz has never had a issue which is why rated 2 stars instead of one. Gave you multiple chances because your prices were reasonable but really theyre not if I'm not happy with...
Read moreI've been coming here for a couple years & it's a really good place for what it is. The haircuts start at $14 & the people are always friendly and nice. I've never gotten a bad service & many have been great.
It may be because it's not a place with a lot of pretense or attitude (no pool tables or rock star stylists here), but the staff turnover is noticeable. If you get used to seeing someone & they suddenly aren't there you don't even have to ask about them-they've probably moved on. Also, if you walk in & don't recognize anyone who is working just go with it. Fortunately everyone I've seen here is pretty good so I usually just take the first available chair, get to know everyone & enjoy them while they're here. This is definitely the kind of barber shop where you build a relationship with the shop more than the barber. It's not a bad thing but it...
Read moreWent in for what I believed would be a simple trim. I made what I wanted 100% clear. A trim. No length taken off. I've been growing it out to achieve a certain look for my birthday and after 4 months without a haircut, I was almost there. I even showed her EXACTLY what was important to me. She cut what I told her was important to me right off my head. After she cut it off I gave her permission to take some length off as it was sticking up in a particular spot but at that point the damage had been done. I understand and I'm well aware that some length has to come off when trimming to get everything right. But she cut at least 3 inches off my hair. All my curls...GONE. With all that said, she was very nice and the haircut she gave is quality if it was what I wanted. But it's not what I thoroughly explained...
