A Disappointing and Frustrating Experience at Louisiana Fried Chicken on Midway

I am compelled to share my recent experience at Louisiana Fried Chicken which was, unfortunately, deeply disappointing. This incident stands out as one of the worst dining experiences I've ever encountered.

I placed an order at 7:30 PM and received a notification that it was ready for pickup at 7:42 PM. However, upon my arrival at 7:55 PM, I was informed that my food was not yet ready. When I inquired about the premature pickup notification, the staff member became argumentative instead of providing a clear explanation or apology.

As I was already delayed, I requested the cancellation of my order and a refund. This reasonable request was met with refusal and I was directed to cancel online – a process that turned out to be non-existent on their platform. Further attempts to escalate the matter to a manager were stonewalled as I was denied any information about managerial staff.

Eventually, the food was presented to me in a condescending manner, leaving me with no choice but to accept it due to the lack of cancellation and refund options. To add insult to injury, I realized I was charged an additional $3 for the online order – a policy that was neither explained nor justified.

The overall attitude of the staff was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. Coupled with the subpar quality of the food, this experience has firmly dissuaded me from returning to Louisiana Fried Chicken in the future. It's a stark reminder that good customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and unfortunately, this establishment falls woefully short.

As much as I hate to do this, I have to give this restaurant a low star rating because of the fact that their message is deceiving and you can say it's pretty much false advertisement. I ordered my meal through DoorDash. I won't hold them accountable for anything DoorDash did. However, on DoorDash, when you go to place your order in the menu. The ad is deceptive because they say that a small drink (a Coke but I received a Cherry Coke -- What if I was allergic to cherry?) and a side comes with it. When I wasn't allowed to pick a drink, I was suspicious so therefore I put a drink in my cart. Also with the chicken I don't eat dark meat (a personal choice -- but it's my choice) and they don't specify what pieces of the chicken you'll get, I would have preferred to have 2 wings than to have a leg and thigh, the food is okay and I did try to eat part of the thigh before I was disgusted. However, all of the other things make it unworthwhile and I've had better. I asked for both hot sauce and cocktail sauce. I received hot sauce and tartar sauce and they also don't give you anywhere to put those instructions. So those instructions were given to the DoorDash delivery guy. It's disappointing to say the least. I personally will not be giving them my business again, but to each its own. It's not so much just about the food. It's always about the service you provide with the food. The business can state what information and details are listed on the DoorDash app and by blocking customers from being able to add instructions they are willingly falsely...

Too start I got the chicken shrimp and fish combo. Comes with 1 side and a drink. Background I had to doordash this order as I'm here on business and came out with another coworker who was using the car. So to start I kinda knew it was going to be bad as the description says 1 side and 1 drink. Yet there isn't a drink choice, so I knew automatically I wasn't getting that. I also didn't really want the drink as I had my waters and beer in the telly. Now the food got delivered and the brown paper bag was stapled shut so I grab it opened it up and there's another brown bag. I open that and found the delicious smelling greasy, fried. Crispy food. Just what I needed, but my side piece was missing and no where to be found. Yes of course my drink was missing too but we knew that was going to happen. Yet I was looking forward to some red beans and rice. So what can I do but eat what I got. The fish batter and seasoning were decent. The chicken had me a bit worried as it was a lil on the dark side, the darker the berry the sweeter the juice doesn't hit home on fried chicken, but this chicken had this hint of spiciness that I loved. The shrimp, well ok I'm be honest, TRASH. Let's not talk about that. So I'm gonna rate this restaurant as BASIC. My guess it's one of those places where you gotta catch it on a good day.
