I went to Great out doors today for lunch (1-6-2016) 2pm I've been there before and never had an issue until today. When I walked in I noticed the register guy carry a bunch of bottle water hugging them in his arms, thought that was weird. Then as I ordered my sandwich the manager made it, then I noticed the register guy coughing and cover his mouth with his hands. Thought ok he's not touching food, then I noticed the register guy dumping a small trash can into a bigger one then I noticed he didn't was his hands. SHOCKED!!!!!! Then I noticed the register guy stocking up the lids straws opening up the ice cream drawler and I never saw him wash his hands. I pointed it out to the manager making my sandwich and the manager gave me this look like really you want him to wash his hands, then looked at the register guy and looked at him like ok this guy really thinks you should wash your hands then he did. The manager then looked at me like I was complaining about something that wasn't important. I told him it's flu season. Then he looked away with disgust and made me feel like crap because I pointed I didn't want to get sick. No apologizes or anything from the manager that made me realize he was pissed at me. I sat down to eat my sandwich then I noticed the register guy eating and drinking to the left of the ice cream freezer and didn't was his hands, then I was SHOCKED again when I say couch medicine, couch drops and other stuff for him being sick. I was disgusted and thanked them on the way out to see if they would say sorry, nothing!!!!!!! The reason I am writing this is because how the manager made me feel, and didn't give a crap about sanitation at all. You should be ashamed to have this manager working for and letting people under him not following standard sanitation practices, let alone customer relations. Worst experience I have ever had in my life. VERY DISGUSTED AND SHOOCKED WHAT I see and went through at the 4043 E Trinity Mills Rd # 109, Dallas, TX 75287. Someone has to email about this...
Read moreFirst off I ordered 2 sandwiches. Ruben and cheesesteak. Did not care for either.
When you order be sure you watch and tell them each and everything you want on the sandwich, I think you will enjoy what you get. If left to build it their way you may not like it. I always try their way first. They use just normal processed meat and cheese but it is fresh out of the package and a good brand, very tasty.
If you could afford to stock you own bread, meat and cheese I do not think you could do much better at home.
The bread seemed a little tough but I did get Rye, good taste. The Ruben had to much dressing but that again is a personnel thing. The cheesesteak was good but to many ingredients for me, would have been great if I would have given more instructions.
Bottom line this place does a good job but as with most sub sandwich shops you need to follow your sub and tell them what you like. The 2 young men working were real nice and...
Read moreI needed a salad today. My go-to place for a chef's salad was closed today. I decided to try GOSS instead because it was convenient...not a good decision.
There were three people in the prep area. I was told I could choose any of the ingredients to have my salad prepared. I made the choices and and walked in front of the refrigerated area to see what was available, for future reference. That was also not a good idea. The area was not what I had hoped to see - not the cleanest, with food scraps in the trays holding the hams and turkey breasts. The counter had not been wiped of scraps of food. There was no line and only one couple dining dining in the restaurant. The three men behind the counter didn't seem to be aware of the appearance of the prep area or counter.
This an unfortunate review to write because I like to patronize shops near my home. This is not one I...
