Hermanos paint and body shop — Local services in Dallas

I contacted Hermano’s about repairing my Toyota Corolla on July 20th and we agreed on fixing the car for $3,500 and he promised it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get the car fixed. The car was towed to his shop on Friday July 29th 2022 and he promised to send pictures of the car’s repair progress weekly. I paid him a down payment of $2,000 when the car was delivered to him on July 29th. One week later on Saturday August 6th 2022 I asked for the progress and he never sent any pictures I called and called several times and he refused to pick up my calls. I sent several text messages and when he finally answered he said he will send a picture in 5 mins. I waited 2 hours and sent another message saying I wasn’t happy with the way he was not responding. This is exactly what he sent me in response

“ITS bussiness my friend ... But i have life too o told you by phone i closed already till monday 9 am ill open again ... If youre no happy come monday pick up your car AND your money ... Thanx The deal was 2 to 3 weeks to fix It so Let me make my part if you dont trust... Its not a way to still making bussiness We aré serious shop Since 1986”

Then he sent me a picture of my car inside the shop with the trunk taken off and he had not started working on the car. This was week one of week three I spoke to my friend who mentioned I should exercise patience and wait till the week three he promised I should have taken the car out immediately but I decided to be patient Two weeks later this dishonest man did not work on my car. After waiting for almost 4 weeks I had to make the decision to take my car to another shop. On Thursday August 18th I spoke to him and that was the third week the car was with him, he said I should give him one last week. On Monday August 22nd I sent him a message saying this was the last week I will be giving him to work on the car and he called me back saying he didn’t like that I wanted the car during the agreed up period and I should come and pick up my car because I was contacting him frequently. When I took the car to him there was a trunk on the car and he took out the trunk under the pretense of working on the car. After taking out the complete trunk he left my car outside without the trunk cover and when it rained heavily on Monday August 22nd the car became flooded, the car was taken away with so much water in the car, the water had flowed from the trunk and filled the whole car carpet in the rear and front seats. Upon picking up my flooded car, Hermano’s requested I pay him $200 for buying the bumper, he never provided any receipt that the bumper cost $200. When I refused he mentioned he will charge me storage fees for the vehicle that he never worked on and he will call the police with I didn’t pay him for the bumper. I plan to sue this business in the small claims court for any fees associated with fixing the flooded car which will likely include electrical damage and mould damage. I am very disappointed that such a business exists and people still give this man jobs to do. He is very dishonest and proud, talks to customers without regard or courtesy. I WILL ADVISE ANYONE WHO SEES THIS REVIEW TO NEVER GIVE THIS MAN ANY BUSINESS. I am reporting this business to the BBB and I will be filling a report under the Deceptive...

Took 3 months to complete the job with excuse after excuse . The car sat in front of his shop for 2.5 months . In 2 weeks he threw it together and the parts were not replaced as promised and within 2 months they are already falling off. If he couldn’t handle the job he should have just said so … it was cheap so you get what you pay for . Wish I could give less...
