I wish a lot of the customers that are in there to sell would understand that it’s not “the audacity” or “being rude” to turn down clothes for not being trendy or in style because they market towards younger people that are up with trends and have different style and style is opinion, not fact.
If someone doesn’t wanna buy your clothes because they don’t believe they will resell or they do not believe that they are currently in style with what is trending in the world of fashion that was pretty hard to keep up with, That is totally not on them, and I believe people might benefit from working on not getting so easily offended.
You’re not gonna have the up-to-date style and no one is obligated to buy your clothes that’s out of style and that won’t resell. I keep seeing so many people had the audacity to turn me away because my clothes were out of style. That’s ridiculous.
Before you give a review, make sure that you go to the website check out the videos and tips they give you on what clothes you should bring in and how you should do though because I’m telling you it helps so much! Businesses do not deserve one star reviews from people that don’t understand how their business operates.
That’s like posting something on marketplace or any other resell website and giving the website a one star review because no one wanted your out of style clothes they may not be ugly and it’s not an insult but fashion is a whole thing that you need to understand and there’s trends that you need to keep up with, and they’re trying to market towards younger people so quit trashing them like that it’s not their obligation to buy your clothes you need to do the effort too.
Thanks for trying your best Plato’s closet and thank you for offering a really cool business for some people! I think you are...
Read moreI have come to this locations 3 times in the past 2 years trying to get a little cash for the items that I bring in each time. I expected at least 20 to 30 dollars last night from the 50 plus items that I brought in. That wasnt the case with Emily and the other associate working that night. I came in at 7:20 pm and brought two big bags filled with all kinds of clothes, new, old, worn and unworn. Emily said I had a few minutes left and I would be the last person for the night. I didnt see the significance in this. She seemed tired, which I completely understand but shouldn't allow her to look at only two of my pieces and then automatically make a decision after 5 mins of me being in the store and saying "We cant take your items, they have holes and stains in them, also we dont take designer items". I might have had kate spade Saturday jeans and a brand new Nordstrom wallet but thats it. To say my items have stains, seriously?? Thats borderline calling someone dirty. All my items were washed prior to being brought in. And then she refused to disclose when the manager would be in and if they could look at my items instead. It was late and I wasnt going to throw a fit with someone who cant appreciate quality pieces but yet accepts soiled pants and stained shoes. And before I get a follow up message saying I dont understand your process, Im very aware of it, Ive been using your Ft Worth location to sell my clothes for years. I would give you guys 0...
Read moreVery unpleasant experience. I showed up shortly after they opened where I was met by a woman I assume was the manager, she seemed extremely irritated and frustrated and she was speaking so fast I had to say Im sorry can u please repeat that? She then still very rushingly asked if I had ever sold anything to her store before, I replied with no I haven’t. She then ran a list down of all the clothing that they are looking for and willing to except she then asked why didn’t I bring my clothes in a bag or a box and why were they on hangers? I apologized and she quickly said yep I’ll accept it this time.. She then turned to a few of the other female employees and screamed that the computers are not working and then she told one of the girls “come over here and take care of her so I can go over there because you don’t know are you doing”. The younger female employee who took over wasn’t much nicer either and out of about 15 items I brought in (that were mostly new with tags on them and to be honest looked better than most of clothing items I browsed at.)..the younger rude girl only chose 2 pairs of shorts that my daughter has never worn and still have the tags on that were $39 a pair from Macy’s . And they offered me only $4.25 Total (which I declined)and proceeded to tell me how they are in a weird spot at the moment..(Whatever that means)... and then very nicely asked if I would like to donate it all anyway.. I...
