I attempted to reach out to Lali Torres (@Lalihairhouse) directly through Instagram to express my dissatisfaction, but I was surprised to find that she had already blocked me. This was my fourth time booking with her, and I’ve always supported her work, which makes this experience even more disappointing. My appointment was booked since August 29 for 2:45 PM, yet around 2:30 PM, while I was already driving 40 minutes to the salon, I received a call informing me that Lali wouldn’t be able to make it because she was running late. Being contacted last minute felt extremely unprofessional. The receptionist rebooked me for 3:00 PM, but I still wasn’t seated until 3:25 PM. I declined their offer to move my appointment to Tuesday because I was already minutes away and arriving on time. From the moment I arrived, Lali seemed bothered and uninterested. I told her, “I would have appreciated if you would have communicated with me sooner rather than last minute.” A bit later, she admitted she was working on two clients at the same time after I asked why she was double-booked if we had this time specifically scheduled. Her response was, “Well, this is the beauty industry.” During the service, she left me unattended for long periods and never once checked my foils to see if the bleach was processing correctly. When I asked why she hadn’t checked, she said she had a timer set and would rinse it off when it went off. The other client she was working on even mentioned being unsatisfied with her final look, which made me feel like my hair was rushed and not given proper attention. I paid $285 total, including $65 for a blowout and style that was never done. She only quickly dried my hair, and the result looked nothing like what I asked for. I wanted visible change in my hair, but that was not possible with the result I received. My hair looks patchy with uneven tones, and in some areas, it’s noticeably lighter yellow compared to where toner was placed, showing an inconsistent finish. She also never once asked if I was satisfied with my color or showed me how it looked from the back. As soon as she finished drying my hair, she removed the cape and walked away to the receptionist without saying a single word, which was very unprofessional. I would like to receive a refund for the $65 blowout and style that was not performed, and I would also like the opportunity to have my hair fixed properly, since the results do not reflect the service or price I paid. Overall, my experience with Lali Torres was unprofessional, dismissive, and disappointing. The other staff members were respectful, but her behavior completely changed the tone of the visit. I truly hope management reviews this feedback seriously so that no other client has to experience the same lack of care and professionalism.

Recently, I posted a not so great review on Lauren Morris (@laurensignehair) and Emily Naaman (@colorbyemily). I was disappointed with pricing, lying, and the games they played with me all the while just wanting a relaxing experience that ended with amazing hair. I tried out a few stylist here and Unfortunately I was not lucky! Be AWARE of these women as they talk negatively about their clients when you’re in the chair and out of the chair. I was charged $400 for a partial highlight… I was stunned!!!! On top of that they lying to my face about the extensions I purchased that they held hostage and would not return to me. So many more stories here but I had enough! Lauren recently sent me this text after she saw my initial review. Just speaks to the girls that work at 5014 Salon.

This review is for Dylan S, who is an exceptional hairdresser that has been caring for my hair for the last 7 years. I have short hair that is a bit thin and it takes a certain level of talent to cut it so that it has texture, a bit of an edge and volume. He is also a gifted colorist. He highlights my dark hair to give it interest and dimension while retaining the overall dark look that I desire. I highly recommend that you try Dylan for any type of hair if you are looking for the last hairstylist that you will ever visit! I have attached a photo but it is at the end of the night after a night out as I am going to bed - it looked much better when I left the salon to the point that all four of my friends that night complimented me on my hair.

I was excited to try out a new salon here in Dallas and saw this one had great reviews! But unfortunately my bad experience started as soon as I walked in. They scheduled me incorrectly to the point where I had to pull up my bank records and call log to prove that I paid a deposit and called them to book an appointment. For someone who requires a $200 deposit, you’d think they’d be able to properly book an appointment. After that things just got worse from there. I showed my stylist, Vanessa Munoz, pictures of what I wanted for my hair. I let her know I wanted a rose pink color and to keep the top of my head brown like the picture I showed her. She was rushing through it and how i was going to be charged extra the longer she stayed in the salon to do my hair. She was not going to blow dry it so I could see the final results so i had to ask for this and again she mentioned I was going to be charged extra. I would assume a high class salon would want to do this for their client; or maybe next time book the appointment properly so there are no time constraints. Once my hair was dry, I was shocked by how it looked (nothing like the photo) and I expressed my unhappiness. She then became very defensive and rude towards me. She told me it was going to look good and once I expressed that I didn’t like it she said “I didn’t say it was going to look good the first day.” She said if I wanted it fixed to how it was suppose to look that I had to either do it myself or come in for another service and pay again. She charged me for a full head of color; when I only wanted about half my hair colored. I can’t believe I spent over $500 on such a poor job. I have purple splotches in my hair when I never even asked for purple. My whole head is blonde when I didn’t ask for that. She didn’t listen at all and then did nothing but charge me extra for things out of my control. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a salon. I will certainly be going back to my original salon, tangerine salon.please refer to the site pictures I posted of my hair done by Vanessa. You can see the...

I booked a balayage with Amy KC Clough and this is what I got. I showed her pics of what I wanted (will include the pic below) and she said that was achievable and reasonable since the girl in the pic had dark hair like me. As you can see from the pics of what my hair turned out like, she wasn't even close to the picture. I've had my hair balayage before and everything Amy was doing was not at all balayage. She lied to me and told me everything was going "great" when my hair was in foils. What she did was give me partial highlights (only on the front of my hair) and called it balayage. When I left the salon, my hair was wet because the girl who cut it didn't have time to style it (which I was fine with) so I realized my hair looked this way the next day. I called and talk to a front desk staff member and told her what happened. She went to tell Amy the situation and came back saying that Amy knew she wasn't going to be able to get me to what the picture showed and that she "did the best she could with the time she had." She then told me that I'd have to talk to the manager about the refund. Long story short- the manager told me I wouldn't get a refund bc I booked for a balayage and a balayage is 3 hours and she "did the best she could." If this is the best someone can do for a balayage I'm not really sure why they're working in an upscale Dallas salon. I was offered to go back in to get it "fixed" but I refused to let someone who lied to me and still took my money touch my hair again. Amy KC Clough was dishonest with me, she didn't provide the service that I paid $220 for, and also ignored my DMs on Instagram about the situation. Overall, the customer service was horrible when I was trying to get a refund and clearly they have stylist who aren't qualified to work there. Also I think they fail to realize that people save their hard earned money to pamper themselves by getting their hair done, so getting it completely botched and refusing a refund is...
