I really do not like leaving negative reviews but I feel this is necessary. I brought in my engagement ring and wedding band to have it sized down 2 sizes. I was told the style of the band was not able to be sized down in a traditional way. I was told they could size it down but it would come out with a flat bottom side. The other option I was given was to remake the ring and schedule with their designer. I am still losing weight so I decided to go with the size down option that would be flat on the bottom and remake the ring at a later date. When I went to pick up the rings I was quite shocked with what that did to my rings. It was so terrible and squished my finger like a pancake. They did warn me of this but was not expecting it to be this atrocious. I couldn’t wear the rings because they hurt and several months later decided to take it to another jeweler to have it remade because I thought it was my only option. I knew I did not want Sergio’s to remake it. The new jeweler was completely shocked when she saw what was done with my rings. She said she has never seen anything like this and there is no issue in resizing these rings down. She said maybe a side diamond would come loose during the process but no issue in placing them back. Come to find out my ring was not sized at all by Sergio’s but simply squished down flat. My new ring size is an 8 and it was squished to a size 6. I thought it was odd when at Sergio’s they asked to measure my knuckle size, makes sense so they knew how flat they could go. I got my rings back today and they are beautiful and back to their normal round shape . Maybe they are ok for small repairs and simple sizing but I would not bring anything of value here. I travel. Buy vintage pieces abroad. Not always in best condition and was hoping to find a jeweler to do minor repairs/adjustment/stone swaps.

Went in with a 18k gold chain bracelet. Refused service. Told me that the bracelet was impossible to shorten bc of how it was made/designed. Claimed lead was used at the clasp and it was ruined.

Was sad about the whole thing. With new year, though decided to take It to a different jeweler.

No lead at all was present. Easy fix. fixed and shortened in 45 minutes for $40.

Also brought in an 18k ring setting w/7 stones (6 synthetic/glass) at same time as bracelet and requested quote for replacement of 6 stones with diamond. Again refused work, claimed setting ruined and unworkable.

Took it elsewhere with the chain, and stone replacement and work anre all possible. No issues. A few prongs needed rebuilding for about $30 each. Some laser work for wear. Did need overhaul, so more understanding here. But it was not unworkable. I would have paid quite a bit (beyond even the value) anywhere for the work. But was not given that option here.

Transparently and to be clear, both pieces were antique and foreign. And the ring was previously reset, but still looked good and were in wearable condition with no loose stones or issues with integrity.

Basically, twice refused work on older pieces. Generally, was polite - but felt like was being judged for trying to walk in the door with these items for service. Took the hint, took my business...

My husband and I have shop here for over 10 years. I was so disappointed at the sales lady. She was rude and lied. She said the leather band was broken so I asked her to put a pin in it since the watch had two bands on July 24th. On the 27th I can to pick up my watches and asked her to put the band on the pin she sold me. She said they don't carry this pin and she didn't sell it to me. She not only sold it to me, she put it on my watch and added it to my bill. My husband tried to put the band on, but he couldn't. Since I had to pick up the others I thought she could put the band on. Sergio came out and told her to get another pin and put it on. Why should I lie about a pin I had to pay for.
