Went with my sister and my fiancé last night.
The three of us ate here and immediately had diarrhea really bad.
For the atmosphere, the music was really loud and terrible honestly it was the WORST edm house music you could find and we had to ask the waiter to turn it down because the speakers were right next to where we were sitting so we couldn’t quite hear each other right. I know this sounds a little petty. But it was so random in the space. Imagine a cute little cosy spot you’re trying to quietly eat your ramen at and just stupid loud a$$ house music blaring. It was so off putting to the atmosphere. I’ve never in my life asked the waiter to see if they can turn it down but here we are. Like the music was giving go to s4 but we were trying to ramen. Ya feel me?
Second- the food. We get chicken karaage as an appetizer which wasn’t bad but wasn’t great however we were starving so we finished it. My fiancé and my sister get ramen, I order some chicken veggie rice dish.
The chicken dish was so stupidly bland that the veggies completely outshined the chicken first off. I’m talking naked looking sad old chicken. When you eat it- there wasn’t any flavor and it felt undercooked (I should’ve known that it might have been based on the terrible stomach issues we’ve been having well into the morning). I send back the dish because it was incredibly gross.
Then, with the ramen- they were both disappointed- they both said 2/5 because it was food and we were hungry but not because it satisfied that traditional ramen desire ya feel me?
Then- the next dish comes out for me. Orange chicken. This dish looks (and tastes) like someone took a bag of frozen chicken, rice and two pieces of broccoli- threw a BUNCH of store brand sauce on it and called it a day. It was mostly sauce. It didn’t taste authentic, didn’t have a lot of flavor. Y’all I was DIPPING orange chicken into sauce to give it a little something something because it was so mid. But again- I was starving at this point so I just ate it. I felt like I didn’t need dessert because there was so much damn sugar in the orange chicken. this might as well have been the frozen orange chicken into sauce a bag from Kroger or something.
Now- we have been, and forgive me for the information, having really bad stomach cramps and crapping well into the morning. That was the last thing we ate. I felt like the runs hit me immediately and was praying all the way home to not crap in the car.
My fiancé has been completely affected- her stomach is in shambles.
This was literally the worst experience. We are just girlies who wanted to have a good meal. We got the shits instead.
I will be reporting this to a health...
Read moreWe’re happy to welcome Casa Ramen to the neighborhood! It has finally cooled down enough to give them a try. First, let me say that we’ve tried almost every popular ramen place with between here and victory park. That being said, Casa Ramen did not disappoint. We had karage, spicy miso ramen, and the tonkatsu ramen. Both ramens had so much flavor, and had the best marinated egg I think I’ve ever had! Highly recommend. Aside from flavor, the ingredients were very fresh. At most places karage only comes with a lemon, but I was thrilled that the karage here comes with what seems to be a spicy mayo based tangy dipping sauce which was highly complimentary. Our one critique about the food is that the karage is dark meat which is delicious, however, the texture is not quite compatible with the size of the nugget. Smaller pieces would accommodate this dish better, in our opinions. Ramens were about $15 each and I think karage was around $12 or so. Though we didn’t get alcoholic drinks, we were pleased to see a craft cocktail section and a full bar menu. The hand painted mural is a beautifully eye catching touch to the space. It feels very East Dallas. We loved the ambiance of the dim lighting, mural, wicker lights, all except the BLARING hall lights. We were sitting in the furthest booth from the door and had just a sliver of the hall lights shining in my eyes the whole meal. I couldn’t imagine being in any booth that directly faces it. Half of the restaurant seating can see the hall lights, and I know I’m not the only one. May add a curtain to the hall access or simply get dimmer lights for the hall? It’s severely affects the atmosphere that the owner is trying to curate. All in all, we will be back and I can’t wait to try more dishes!...

The savory flavors of the menu strike a satisfying balance, avoiding excessive saltiness while showcasing the nuanced intensity of each dish. Spicy ramen enthusiasts will be delighted by the genuine heat, while those with a milder palate may find it preferable to explore other options. The chicken karaage stands out for its exceptional execution, showcasing a tender and juicy interior encased in a crisply fried exterior.
The rich tonkotsu ramen offers a satisfyingly deep and flavorful broth, providing a comforting and delicious base for the dish. While the service was slightly slower than ideal, the friendly staff and quality of the food compensated for this minor inconvenience. The unusual timing of the rice order did raise an eyebrow, arriving as the last item instead of alongside the main course because it was for my kid.
On a positive note, the convenient part that Starbucks is next to the ramen store.
Overall, Casa Ramen offers a solid dining experience with flavorful dishes and a convenient location for Dallas Arboretum visitors. While the service could be improved upon slightly, the quality of the food and the bonus of nearby Starbucks make Casa Ramen a worthy option for a pre- or...
