I recently visited El Porton and had an absolutely delightful experience that compelled me to share my thoughts. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries set the perfect tone for a great visit.
What truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding service provided by the talented barista, Orion. His attention to detail and passion for crafting the perfect cup of coffee was evident in every sip. Orion not only demonstrated impressive expertise but also added a personal touch that made my coffee experience memorable.
Moreover, the kindness of the owner added an extra layer of warmth to the entire visit. It's apparent that the owner is committed to creating a welcoming space for coffee enthusiasts like myself. Their dedication to customer satisfaction and genuine care for the community truly stood out. He's originally from El Salvador and imiggrated to start a coffee shop in the US. He sells coffee from his family's farm - I'll let him tell you the rest of that story.
The coffee selection was diverse, offering a range of flavors that catered to different preferences. The quality of the brew exceeded my expectations, making it clear that El Porton prioritizes excellence in every aspect of their service.
The cozy ambiance, the skillful barista, and the friendly owner make it a standout destination for coffee lovers. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of not only great coffee but also a warm and inviting environment. I look forward to my next visit to savor more of their delightful offerings!
Kudos to Orion and the entire team for creating such an outstanding...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried El Portón for the first time this week and enjoyed their Pupusas and horchata cold brewā¦did not so much like the vibe though. I decided to give it a second chance on Saturday and even brought a friend but the one girl who was there on Wednesday morning was also there yesterday morning. When I asked her about what time they opened , she told me the time but also some extra info about them not being able to open until thereās two people there (I didnāt ask or complainā¦I just wanted to know so I could come back next week) she was just unnecessarily snappy. She was very unapproachable overall and as we were asking questions about the menu, her answers were snappy and gave me the impression WE were wasting her time. Listen Iām in customer service, experienced barista myself, so I get it but this young lady doesnāt convince me or my friend to come back. Her attitude and the tension in her presence ruin the experience for a visit here. She needs to let somebody else who really wants to be there and help build a customer base take a chance at making this coffee shop inviting and a spot for people to make it ātheir...

I recently stopped by El Porton Coffee in Dallas off Garland Road, and Iām so glad I did! The vibe here is chic, cozy, and welcoming, with local artwork displayed throughout the shop (and even available for purchase!). There are plenty of comfortable seating areas, and I loved that they even have a playroom in the back for kidsāsuch a thoughtful touch for families.
I ordered the quiche Lorraine, which was a personal-sized portion and absolutely delicious. The flaky, crispy crust and rich filling were perfect. I also tried to order the seasonal Coconut Tres Leches iced coffee, which they no longer had, but the barista created a custom drink inspired by itāand it was so good! Great flavor and beautifully presented.
Thereās plenty of parking, friendly service, and even a few outdoor tables if you prefer to sip your coffee in a patio setting. If youāre in the Casa Linda / East Dallas area and looking for a peaceful, artsy coffee shop to work, relax, or catch up with a friend, El Porton Coffee is...
