I had to transfer my cardiac sons medication a few months ago to another reputable pharmacy because Walgreens stop accepting my sons insurance, anyway today Sep 25,21 one of my sons doctors called in a prescription to Walgreens instead of my new pharmacy..anyway it’s not supposed to be an issue regardless because my new pharmacy or Walgreens can simply work out the transfer right ? Well No. Walgreens is not answering my new pharmacy calls. I know they get busy but each time I call Walgreens they answer me but Not my new pharmacy. So my new pharmacy asked me to ask Walgreens to just send them an Efax of the prescription transfer and we’ll Walgreens refuses to do so and here I am with two pharmacies playing phone tag or simply Walgreens is not answering my new pharmacy calls. What The HECK? I have a Cardiac 5 year old with a cold that needs a medication ASAP and because of the unprofessionally staff at the pharmacy make it difficult for my child to get this medication and therefore I am possibly taking my child to my the emergency because of this issue. I can’t NOT understand why they can’t just Fax this information when I as the legal parent and guardian to my child’s prescriptions am requesting it from Walgreens they simply refuse and make it impossible to get it transferred. Why ? I am so upset and furious that my child’s health is at risk because Walgreens can’t offer a better solution and rather argue with me over the phone instead of seeing my desperate request to simply fax the information to my new pharmacy for 1 only 1 medication that is urgently needed. Read moreThis is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a pharmacy. To be specific, Juanita, the pharm tech, was SO RUDE! I had a medication transferred over from CVS. This was my first time picking it up, and she told me it wouldn’t be ready till next week because it was a refill that was too soon to fill. I was very confused because it shouldn’t be a refill since it was my first time picking it up. Instead of doing research and giving me a better explanation as to why, she said “That’s what the system is showing, I don’t know what else to tell you.” She told me to go back to CVS to see if they filled the prescription. I drove to CVS and they told me they never filled it. I then proceeded to call my insurance and they informed me that Walgreens indeed made an error and ran the prescription twice, which is why it was now showing as a refill. Mind you they never answer their phones, so it took over 2 hours for the insurance lady who was helping me get ahold of them. Also an elderly man before me asked her a question and told him he couldn’t help him because she was doing something else sighed and rolled her eyes at him. She was also making comments how “people who use the drive thru should stop being lazy and come inside.” That left me speechless. Read moreReading all the reviews I realized I'm one of many with bad experience on the pharmacy side. Got a prescription called in after taking it myself but because it was cut off they wouldn't take it. Waited two days and got no call for pick up. I decided to come in and ask about my prescription after being on the phone 30 mins waiting on someone to answer, girl picks up and hang up on me within seconds. I came in and was told my prescription wasent ready that they would call me. 5 days pass it's now 7 days since my prescription was called in, and no call back. Again I call! 40 minutes waiting for someone to answer the damn phone, they finally answer 2 minutes before I get there again! The girl said how it wasent ready because they couldn't mix my prescription unless I was there. That maybe the girl that helped me out last time didn't know that was the case. 7 days to get a damn prescription. Oh and the African American lady not sure her name but pretty sure she's one of the higher ups has the worst attitude! Instead of talking to me directly being steps away from me, kept talking straight to one of the techs like I wasent there. Terrible service. Everyone...
