We were refused service for the resizing of my wedding set (not bought through Maryville.) The engagement has an opal and they claimed that the wedding band had emeralds and refused to resize either of them. We found a knowledgeable jeweler in Chattanooga (Sam Edwards Jewelers) who informed us that Maryville was wrong and that the green stones are not emeralds (my fiance was sure the ring did not have emeralds, so we were surprised that we were refused service due to this). He also has no problem working with opals, which was why Maryville refused to resize my engagement ring. Not sure why they would refuse service when other jewelers can complete the resizing with no issue. They can probably do normal jewelry, but I wouldn't want anyone working on my jewelry who can't tell the difference between emeralds and...

My grandparents have always gone here to get jewelry & it’s always been great BUT . My mom recently had to go get her wedding ring cut due to arthritis and we couldn’t get it off . When we went we had JT he told my mom her knuckles were too big , she should never put a ring on any of her fingers again & was not at interested in helping when we walked in only wanted to help someone else .
