(photo below) I have been shopping market basket for several years now. Within the last year I have had issues with the purchase of several dairy products, deli products such as Mac and cheese in a tub, and frozen waffles. 5 sour cream containers I've purchased were cut through at the level of the lid so it wasn't apparent when I grabbed it. the macaroni and cheese was cut through just beneath the lid and was discovered when brought home. I purchased a box of "natures path" frozen waffles and when I opened the package A DAY later the entire thing was GREEN the plastic wrapping was so green I couldn't see any waffles inside of it. I contacted the natures path company to complain about the issue and they assured me it was a handling issue at the level of the STORE. The employees there are NEGLIGENT and their losing products left and right (be sure and return these items!) I mentioned it to a couple employees at the check-out counter and they basically said people were back in the warehouse cutting boxes and not paying any attention and that they don't care. They discussed this candidly but made no attempt to notify someone who could actually rectify the problem. They basically said "make sure to return the items" as I handed her YET ANOTHER sour cream container cut across just below the lid that I thankfully noticed before bringing home. I mean...the cuts aren't small, they're at least 6 inches or more across. This inconvenience and aggravation is enough to make me reconsider shopping here in the future. It seems people really do need training on how to properly open boxes using a box-cutter, and a lesson on accountability since there's no way a person cutting a box with such a heavy-hand had no idea they damaged the products beneath, because clearly, its been MULTIPLE products.

Market Basket has the best prices around! They have a large selection of fresh organic produce and frozen berries! Last week they had Fresh Express Salad Kits on sale 2/$4 but they didn't have any Bacon Caesar, which my son eats daily, and I forgot to get a rain check. Yesterday I stopped at the Customer service desk and asked if they would honor the sale price and they did. They gave me a rain check for 6. They only had 2 left left so they changed the quantity on the rain check to 4 so I could get more the next time I was in! That's awesome customer service. I was so thrilled there was nobody in line when I checked out. I love Market Basket in Middleton!

Well now that they’ve got Artie out of the picture, they’re already raising prices outrageously. Do they know, that’s why everyone shopped there? Well no more! Might as well go to Stop & Shop if we’re going to pay premium prices. A few slices of banana bread for $6.59. Are you kidding me? And I was there at 3:00p this afternoon…empty! At that time, you usually can’t get up and down the aisles; and there were at least 6 registers staffed and wide open with nobody in line. I think people are boycotting again. Good! They should go out of business this time. No Artie T and high prices, no thanks. They can go pound sand now.

Don't go here for the cafe or grill, The grill staff is often run and supervised by rude workers that will lie to you that they are out of an item just because it's busy and then prepare the same item for the next customer minutes later once the work lightens up. I understand the language they are talking, and they are blaintantly speaking to other members deliverately, not to serve even though they have the item. This has happened more than once in a month at different busy and not so busy times. Homeless people that sit in the café dining area for days or even months at a time and there are there every day all day until closing, sleeping head down on the table or playing video games on their phone probably using the free wifi at a table for four customers taking up much needed seats when it gets crowded as i heard from other customers next to me. They are also using the toilet and peeing on the seat(witnessed) multiple times. Watch out for STDs and hepatitis from repeated use from these types. Just don't use these toilets. You can go to the CVS across the driveway for that if you feel safer. I was chased and violently pushed by a carrage pusher and rudely yelled at with vulgar language only because i cut him off at the entrance door while he was pushing carages. They are supposed to allow customers to go by while working and not attack them. It's a good thing I didn't sue the store for such a violent act. The store manager, Jamie, is a real jerk. He's the fat guy wearing a purple blazer that looks like Curly from the Three Stooges and usually wears a Patriots team emblem on his jacket. He does not fix any obvious problems when brought to his attention, no matter what they are. He will often make it sound like it's your fault and even insult you in the process of communication. I go to other Market Basket stores in the nearby areas and have never had this problem ever. I even say hi and complimented them on what a great job they are doing, but not Jamie. The other manger that works beside him is fine and actually listens and takes care of issues over time. I'm not making any unreasonable demands, but this is just wrong for any manager to act this way when an obvious problem...

Good prices and clean store. Got a bit annoyed the other day with a younger employee who was sent by the cashier while I was checking out to check on an item's price since I bought it (I actually bought two of the same item) because it was on sale according to its price tag but it wasn't coming up on the register as a sale item. So he goes to check on the item's price supposedly, he took his time (at least 2-3 minutes) with people lining up behind me at the expressway register only to tell me it was not on sale and that I probably saw another item's price tag. I paid for both items full price and then I was so sure of what I had seen before I had to go and check for myself. I was indeed right and I took a picture of the sale price and the indicator SALE ITEM on the tag with the name of the very item written on it (how much more obvious than that one would think it could be?) I went to the customer service and explained to the lady what had just happened. I showed her the picture I had just took and told her about my recent bad experience. She apologized on behalf of her colleague who apparently didn't know how to check for the price but mostly for him telling me that I was mistaken and that the full price is correct. She refunded me the difference of the sale price for one item and refunded me the whole amount of the second item as it is the policy for wrongful price tags found on the floor. I thanked her for her great customer service she gave me but I had to spend about 10 more minutes of my time because of the first employee's incompetence. If I didn't have that extra time to put in at another day I would have paid the wrong price double...
