What USED TO be a fabulous Chinese Restaurant is now not worth walking in the door. The food, the lunch buffet @ $11.95, was luke warm and mostly inedible. The waitstaff rude, the the cashier condescending.
I kept hoping to find something in the buffet line that I could enjoy. The Peking Dumplings / Perking Ravioli were nice. Lots of pork concoction in the somewhat thick (though tasty) wonton wrap. These were obviously "home made." The pineapple shrimp were revolting, cold, and gooey. YUK. Hard marinaded chicken. Bland pork. The ice cream was good ....
CONS: The waitress argued with me about ordering the 6-piece Peking Dumplings. She was adamant that I get the buffet for $12.00 when I only wanted the dumplings for $8.00 ! Then berated me for getting them when they DID arrive at the table, 25 mins. after I ordered!! I left a generous tip (I used to wait tables, a thankless job), and when went to pay at the counter, was asked by the cashier -- "Did you leave a tip on the table?" WHAT??? I've never been asked that in my life. At that point, I had HAD IT. I informed the cashier that was none of her business, but, yes, I had. And that between the terrible food, the pushy wait staff, and now her appalling question, I would be telling friends about this experience and would never eat here again. DON'T BOTHER...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant a number of times. Food was alright and I primarily go there for their sushi which is just okay. I went to their weekday lunch buffet (at noon) and the best words to describe the sushi portion was "stingy" and "cheap." They had 1 vegetarian roll out for everyone and I waited over 30 minutes before another roll was even put on there (another vegetarian roll). It was only after some guests started to complain that the sushi chef put 1 roll with some meat on it (spider roll) which was gone very quickly. After that, only another vegetable roll 15 minutes later. A guest even asked if they will put a salmon or California roll out only to be told if she wanted that they should order it off the menu. The rolls themselves are mostly rice with extra rice as a filler (they do that so you will get filled up on rice and eat less sushi). I get it that this is a business and they are trying to cut costs but they are completely ruining the customer experience with their cheap practices. I would rather go to another buffet in the area than...
Read moreWhere to begin? Ordered online, got there and waited a minute or 2 and had my food. If you’re looking for Chinese food that lacks portion size and flavor this might be the place for you. Over 16.00 for a very lacking amount of food compared to other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. I’ve honestly had better food for less money at the Chinese places at the mall. Should have went there instead. Menu said beef skewers were part of my order, I guess they meant beef skewer, as in one. That’s what I got. Extremely small portion of lackluster fried rice with a borderline tasteless flavor. Food wasn’t terrible, but definitely some of the least appealing Chinese food I’ve ever had when you consider how little of it there was. Would never go again even if they cut their prices in half. Stay away is the best advice I could give. Next time I’ll fight the traffic and pay top dollar at Kowloons, at least I know the food there is worth the money...
