ALDI — Local services in Danville

I love Aldi and shop there once a week. But I am having a really hard time with the store in Danville ill. The past couple of times that I pay and leave the store there is a man in the parking lot that follows you to your car and stands behind you as you load your car. He then takes your cart to the cart rack,in order to get the quarter. Tonight when I came out of the door he started following and I turned around and said no thank you he proceeded to follow me to my car and I said again no thank you. I finished loading the car and closed the back to find him grabbing at my cart so I said again with force NO Thank you. He gave me a very nasty look but walked away. I feel the need to clarify that it is not the quarter I have an issue with it is being followed and the lack of boundaries. My first time here. To get a shopping cart you have to insert a quarter and it releases one. They do have a larger selection of groceries at great prices. At checkout you unload your cart and after each item is scanned the cashier puts them in a cart by the register. After you pay you leave your shopping cart with the cashier and take the other cart. You are responsible for bagging so you do need to bring your own bags or boxes. After you get your items loaded take your cart back and it will be locked in. Do it yourself service and good value does save money. As far as I could tell checking out all of the isle's and refrigerator and freezer sections there were no name brand items which also saves money. I didn't find any name brand grocery items but there is a variety of off brand grocery items. The grocery items are stocked some on shelves and in bulk boxes stacked down the aisles. There is a refrigerated and freezer section and produce. If you've never shopped here before you will find it is not like not decorated and stocked like other name brand grocery stores. It is kept to a minimal to keep prices as low as possible. If you need a shopping cart they are 25 cents to unlock one at the cart vending area outside of the entrance. You are responsible for bagging or boxing your groceries and the store doesn't supply any bagging or boxing supplies so you will need to bring your own supplies for bagging or boxing your purchases.
