Went to El Toro for dinner. Was seated right away, food was good as usual with the exception they did not put cheese sauce on my daughter's burrito (like she ordered it) No biggie, we stopped the manager and explained it was supposed to have cheese sauce on the burrito. She said she would bring it on the side. Then charged for a full cup of cheese instead of just the dollar to add it on the burrito. When I inquired about it to our waiter, he said he would change it from the cup of cheese charge to the correct charge. The manager grabbed the receipt from him, came to our table and yelled at me, that when cheese is served in the bowl it is $3.50 not $1. I explained that is not how we originally ordered it, nor how we asked her for the cheese sauce when the burrito came without it. I offered to just pay for it but she continued to yell loudly at me ( in the middle of the dining room ). about a cup of cheese is $3.50 so in the future...... My cousin was with me and was in shock with how rude she was. When she walked away the women at the table next to us commented to me about how rude she was to me and that they heard me ask both times for cheese just on the burrito, and that she was very wrong in her behavior. The sad part-we have frequented this business since they opened. I think that will be changing after how rudely we were treated. While we were up paying, the manager was speaking loudly in spanish, she should realize that my daughter understands spanish-she was talking about us. If this is how "management" (i use the term lightly because she has NO customer service skills) they need customer service training because you do not yell at customers in the middle of the dining room and talk down to them. I never raised my voice once, all I said is both times we ordered it as sauce on the burrito and I even offered to just pay for it since it was such a big deal it was served in a bowl when it was not put on it in the kitchen. VERY disappointed but hey there is still LaPotasina and Margaritas!
PS we were just there monday (2days ago) and they left the cheese sauce off her burrito then too, but she just ate it without. Guess there is a problem adding cheese sauce...
Read moreEven the ESSENTIAL ROOM no one talks about was HOSPITAL CLEAN! The food was AMAZING, they were able to mix a PERFECT Long Island Ice Tea (WITHOUT being given the BARTENDERS GUIDE recipe) and the service was quick and special requests were handled with a smile and confirmed before the waiter left to turn it in. Not the cheapest dining experience BUT worth every penny. Everyone took home a "DOGGY BAG" (Only one of which actually went to the dog) Looking forward to my midnight snack and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the "BOSS BURRITO" but be certain to bring your APPETITE because I "LIKE MY GROCERIES" and barely made it through a ⅓ of the 10" STUFFED tortilla wrapped around meats (chicken and beef) topped with Chorizo, cheese, SHRIMP and PINEAPPLE. Will definitely be a favorite location and did I mention MASSIVE MARGARITAS, and SANGRIAS Imported beer and domestic all featured on specials for different days. All I...
Read moreFirst the food has really gone down hill, one being mostly liquid salsa. It's over priced when you are the first customers of the day no one else in the place and get warm food instead of hot. The waiter/server was very impatient, to be honest he was rude and condescending. I was trying to explain I wanted my lettuce and Guacamole on the side instead of on top of the meat as the menu read "Topped" with the above mentioned. He just kept saying " Yes it comes with those items after the third time I finally said I want every item on a separate dish, he just grabbed menu's and walked away. It just really wasn't the same in any way as the last time I ate there in 2022. We ( a girlfriend) went ahead and ate and left an appropriate tip ( 20%) but don't think on one of our "Girls Day Out" El Toro will ever be even a considered food...
