I have been regularly shopping here for about 10 years. On Sunday, I was in the store and found the nightstand pictured. I took a picture of the nightstands and the price of “$45 pair nightstands” so I could show to my husband and to drive back with the truck in order to buy and pickup. Came back to the store today and went to buy them. They said that they were $45 each not for the pair. I pointed out the price tag that said $45 for the pair. They then changed the price tag in front of me to $90 for the pair. I believe this is very dishonest of them. They told me that they were not so naïve as to sell them for $45. That was the price that they set, not me!! I even went back to talk to the manager as it was so unreasonable to switch the price. They doubled down and did not budge. Acted as if I was dishonest when all I wanted to do was get the stated price. Very unhelpful and not appreciating my point of view in their changing the price on me at the register. I won’t buy them at double the price as I feel as if they are not acting fairly. I wasted all this time coming back with my husband and a truck....
Read moreThis is no longer a thrift store as they gouge prices. They have gone down hill! I support the cause so have continued to donate but I’m done. I recently ran across an item I donated priced 20x higher than what I paid at Macy’s. I told the woman the original price. She said it’s a designer and it must be different. When I pointed out the repair I did, she said it’s inflation then. I realize this is a thrift store raising money for the needy. It should not be by inflating prices and gouging those that can pay. They act as they do you a favor and show no appreciation for donated quality goods. If you want to donate $$$$, it’s a fine store. If you want to find a deal with friendly service, go elsewhere. I miss the past friendly staff and the...
Read moreGuess in Danville the idea "thrift store" doesn't seem to resonate. They have nice items and a convenient location. But the prices are to high. Especially for stuff they get for free. I understand there is a charity involved but the idea of a thrift store is to get a nice price and keep coming back for new treasure. Its like they mildly research the items. Clothing especially, and charge way more than a thrift store in concord or elsewhere would charge. To boot the lady's inside working there in my opinion are condescending. Like there bothered they have to deal with thrift shoppers. For the record I always, always thrift shop in a...
