Buckle My Shoe — Local services in Daphne

I have been a customer at Buckle My Shoe for 5 years and will never go back to shop there again. Since they usually never have the sizes my kids need I usually try to buy their shoes early before there is a mad rush for the same exact shoe I'm trying to buy. On this occasion, I bought cheer shoes. My daughter tried the shoes on and said she loved them and they were comfortable. Two weeks later she finally wore the shoes to cheer her game and they hurt her feet so bad that she said she never wanted to wear them again. These were $55 (not including tax) cheer shoes. I went to the store three weeks after I bought the shoes and asked if I could exchange the shoes for something different. The associate, who happened to be on her phone and ignored me for the first few minutes I was there, informed me that they have a 7-day return policy. Seriously, I have never know that in 5 YEARS. It would be helpful to mention that. I have literally never paid attention to the paper taped to the counter since my kids are usually asking for multiple toys so I quickly sign my receipt and leave. The associate informed me the owner would call me. This is the second time this same associate has promised me a call from the owner. The owner NEVER calls. Again, I was trying to plan ahead and by shoes early since they always run out of sizes. If I would have been aware of the 7-day return policy I would have had my daughter walk around the house a little to make sure the shoes fit her properly and then return within the seven days if not. A call from the owner, as promised, would have been nice, but no. I just won't be shopping...

I am new to Baldwin County and I found this jewel of a store on Main Street while exploring Old Daphne. The owner is precious. She goes over and above to make your shopping experience enjoyable. They are attentive but not pushy, which I love. She normally has a clearance rack of clothes and shoes with wonderful prices. The clothes and shoes are so trendy and cute and well made. This is definitely a store that is worth a 5...
