I used to really like dragonfly in Daphne. it's a chill space with good drinks, and some pretty good food. It's always been a bit pricey though, so I don't come in that often anymore. I know the manager Kyle and he's nice, usually runs a pretty tight ship. only ever had good experiences with staff here. Today, however, I had the worst bartender I've ever seen in my life, and nobody seemed to care. I've been to a lot of bars in my life, on 3 continents, and he is genuinely the worst I've ever seen. His attitude is like the most entitled worker at a club you've ever seen, and sure enough he was tatted up with a rat face. His first words to my friend, once he came on shift at 3pm 7/12, after my friend asked for napkins to clean off the sweat from his glass, was, "that's on you, bro." He only came around to make snarky comments and hound us for nothing. He thought einstok was Belgian (it's Icelandic), I've never seen a worse bartender. He overcharged me on my hazy snake, and wouldn't correct it. $9 for a beer I've payed $6-7 for here before. The attitude and mindset is ridiculous, I'll never pay for this place again, and it's a shame that this is how the memory...
Read moreWent here for dinner in a group of 8. They were out of multiple beers that our group tried to order. The blackberry mojito was so watery it had to be sent back. Calamari was good, but the sauce is definitely heavy on the lemon. The pork rinds were light and crunchy. The $2 taco of the night, a honey sriracha chicken taco was ordered by multiple people and no one finished theirs. I asked what tortillas they had, and was told one taco came on corn. I asked if I could have different tacos on the corn tortillas (gluten intolerance) the server said he would check, but the kitchen said they couldn’t do that. I cancelled my taco order and just got the hot edamame, surprisingly it was a soup, which I was not expecting, but it was decent. 4 of our group are local and will not be coming back. Not impressed with their service or food quality. The servers need more training, and the kitchen needs to be willing to accommodate for...
Read moreDepending on the bartender, drinks may be pretty sweet. That’s the one downside to this place. Having been here maybe 20 times, your service and drinks depend on who’s working. The food is dependable - we have our favs and they’re always good, consistent taste, creative, and quality. Pictured is the poke tuna appetizer. It comes as is, no chips or anything. I probably wouldn’t order it again because there are better menu options. The wings appetizer makes a great meal if you’re not super hungry. The five spice duck taco is my favorite 👌🏼 the inside can be a little loud and boisterous, but if you’re into that climate, it’s fine. They’ve usually got some kind of game on the tv over the bar. This place has overall probably the best cocktails in OTD (kitchen on main being another...
