We stopped briefly at this place while on our way since some blog suggested it and weren't disappointed. It is a homage to the human spirit and celebrates achievements of top athletes in an incentive manner. All the statues are created out of recycled trash and look a bit spooky from the distance but are very lifelike close up. There was plenty of parking (on a weekday mind!) and it was free to roam around and explore. Must visit if you're in the area.

We have family visiting and decided to take them over to see the sports art collection at the United States Sports University. As we got to the second floor, we had the good fortune to run into Nancy Raia, the artist/at curator. She asked if we would like a tour, and we gladly accepted. She took us through all the exhibits and told us the background of each subject and artist. We learned so much! She was delightful, and the collection is incredible!

It's a wonderful place, tucked away inside Daphne....
