FELT LIKE I AM BEING TORTURED
I went here for around two years. I would get manicures and they were fine, we had fun. However, my family member and I started to get pedicures as well. I got around ten to twelve as I can remember. One time they were doing it and I had the WORST PAIN IN MY LIFE. I WATCHED them DIG THE TOOL ALL THE WAY UNDER MY NAILS. It was HORRIBLE.
They literally did this every time, it happened several times. I'd just be staring at my feet in horrid pain watching them put the tool literally all the way under my freaking toenails. I told everyone it hurts but they thought I was being dramatic. They never told me what they were doing. I was quiet every time for the two hours, squeezing onto the chair, and sometimes feeling like I am going to pass out. My family member would say are you okay like it's okay, no, I am literally being tortured. I went to the foot doctor after because I started to have pain after, so he told me you have an ingrown toenail. Again, I wasn't even aware that I might have one because the nail place never told me why they are DIGGING ALL THE WAY UNDER MY TOENAILS LIKE I AM BEING TORTURED. I told him about the nail place and he said a lot of the time they will see an ingrown and they'll try to dig under your nail but then they give up and stuff it under your nail.... After that I realized that is what they were trying to do but they should not have been doing that because they made me feel like I AM BEING TORTURED, and they didn't even succeed they literally stuck it back under my nail like???. They should have said you have an ingrown go to your local foot doctor.... I have chronic ovarian cysts I would rather have them everyday then feel this pain again. Watching them dig ALL THE WAY UNDER MY NAILS. and this is the WORST PAIN I HAVE EVER FELT. Literally when the foot doctor went to remove the ingrown toenail he numbed it because they UNDERSTAND it is HORRID pain digging ALL THE WAY under someone's nail. The foot doctor only took 5 minutes doing this procedure, the nail place tried to torture me for TWO HOURS straight while ultimately failing to even remove the ingrown toenail, giving me an even worse ingrown nail....
Why did I continue going here?
The reason I continued to go here a few more times was because my relative was a few years older than me so I wanted to do something she liked doing, I was 14 at the time so I was more shy, and me being 14 they thought I was being dramatic about the pain. It has been 4 years and now I continue to have foot problems in result of them...... We wish this was not the case because we had fun going here. Do not be surprised if you get an ingrown toenail going here, they try to fix it, DON'T EVEN TELL YOU WHAT THEY ARE DOING, and then make the problem 100x worse. Nail places should not be putting you in pain or causing...
Read moreI've been a returning customer to Pro Nails for over a year now, until today. I will never go back. I took my mom for a pedicure, and they rushed through the service like it was nothing. We were in the chair maybe 20 minutes. No calf massages, no special care for our nails, and they didnt even use the scrub and then the lotion. They just slapped them both on and wiped it all off. She cut my mom's toe and tried hiding it from us. No apology, and didnt ask if she was okay. We had to ask for a top coat to be applied. My moms nails are cut on an angle and they arent even fully painted around the edges! I called to speak with a manager since they werent in while we were there..and GET THIS. THE MANAGER SAID THAT THEY TAKE THEIR TIME AND TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WHILE THEYRE SLOW, BUT IF THEY ARE BUSY, THEY WILL JUST HURRY ALONG TO KEEP NEW PEOPLE COMING INTO THE CHAIRS. I cant make that up, she literally admitted that they're more worried about making money then actually caring about the customer. She said each person gives whatever kind of pedicure they feel like giving as there is no standard. Pur pedicure was about 20 minutes, and the woman across the salon from us was in that chair for 45! It was the same exact pedicure. The manager refused to give me any money back for a horrible service after I politely asked for it, and said they paid their employees with my money and I cannot have it back. WTF. Not to mention the manager was yelling at me through the phone!!!!!!!! Dont waste your time or your money. One last thing, I was told we could come in and she would look at our toes and decide if they're actually as bad as we say they are and I told her we would come next weekend. She tells me they wont do anything because of course the nail polish would be messed up by next week. SO YOU CHARGE $30+ for a pedicure you dont even guarentee will last 7 days? HA. Joke of a company and no respect or concern for customer satisfaction. Congrats pro nails, you just lost two...
Read moreI love Pro Nails. It's always so lively. They have amazing music videos that play in the shop and it's get you going. Plus you get to jam out to your favorite tunes. Tonight Ella Mai's "Trip" started to play and the lady next to me started humming and we ended up in great conversation about the song and what her plans were for the evening. Tanya is amazing. She's such a hard worker and runs this shop and it's second location off of 75th and Lemont. I love the fact that I come in and everyone knows my first name. It makes it a totally different experience. I've never had any issues with my nails getting done or even a pedicure. No matter what time I come in, I get 100% amazing service. Even when it gets super busy, they make sure the customer is treated with respect, the offer water and try to make everyone comfortable. If you have never been here, then you should visit. I walked in this evening unsure of what color I wanted as usual but I always look at everyone's nails to get a feel of what I want. This color is what Tanya was wearing. We are officially nail twins. Lol. Gotta represent for St Patrick's Day. Thanks again Pro Nails for providing...
