Usualy I have a very good experience at Ring's End which is why I didn't hesistate to go to them for a 48" bathroom vanity. My wife and I went to the Darien store and spoke with Stephanie in Kitchen and Baths. We told her exactly what we were looking for and explicitily said we are looking for SOLID WOOD construction. Stephanie informed us they use Bertch Cabnietry and assured us it would be made of solid wood, so we even paid more for the Walnut. We were hoping for her to educate us more on the different types of wood and what we can expect from the consitently regarding the look and variations, she did no such thing, we felt very rushed and was quite pushy.
5 weeks later we get the cabinet in, we very excitedly opened the boxes to find the entire cabinet is made of particle board! Obviously very upset we call multiple times looking for an explanation, Stephanie finally calls me back and tell me she never said it would be solid wood and that it would be made of plywood with Walnut veneer.
I know for sure this was not plywood. I even brought it to my local lumber supplier and had my contractor look at it and verified that is NOT plywood.
As you can imagine, frustration is at an all time high on this call as I look for a resolution because this was not what we paid for, she tells me "YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO MY MANAGER!" and hangs up on me. I immediatly call the store back explaining the situation to the manager on duty, Michelle Tobey, who was very helpful. She apologized about the situation and Stephanie's behaviour. She also set up to have the cabinet picked up so I can get my money back. 5 weeks later, back to square one with no cabinet.
Bottom line, do not work with Stephanie, she is rude and apparently does not know her product, and do not buy Bertch cabinets, unless you want overpriced, gloried...
Read moreI have never written a review before, but a truly terrible customer service experience at Ring's End Darien compelled me to write this one. We just purchased a new home, and ordered 4 French doors and accompanying hardware from Ring's End to go in the home. Time was of the essence, as we were juggling multiple projects and had a contractor at the home to install the doors.
Ring's End delivered the wrong product to my house THREE separate times. It's now a week after the originally scheduled delivery date, and I still don't have all the products I purchased. First, they delivered some metal basement doors that in no way resembled the glass-paned interior wood French doors I ordered. The hardware I ordered also didn't arrive, and had to be tracked down. After I called to complain, they returned the next day to replace the metal doors with 4 French doors--only one of them was the wrong size. In their next failed attempt, they then replaced that wrong door with another wrong door... of exactly the same size (ie. not matching the others). I'm told they will be delivering the correct door today, but I'll believe it when I see it. It's clear to me that their delivery team is paying next to no attention to what they are dropping off at homes.
Throughout this ordeal, I have wasted hours of my time calling Ring's End and trying to find the right person to help me, leaving messages that are never returned, and waiting on hold. We've also lost valuable time with our contractor, who was supposed to be installing these doors and is now behind schedule. I let the Ring's End employee I spoke to know how unacceptable this has been and asked for a discount on my order, but was told there was nothing they could do. I most certainly will not be...
Read moreHorrible customer service on Friday!!! I went to Darien Rings End because the website stated that there was Wicked Good Premium Top Soil in stock. When I arrived, I parked in a regular parking spot and looked at where the garden supplies were outside to see if I could find the topsoil. I didnât see it but went into the store to inquire. I told the saleswoman behind the counter that I would like to purchase 14 bags of topsoil but I didnât see any out there. She said well we have 47 bags just drive to shed 4 and someone will load it for you. Now I pull in front of shed 4 , no one approaches to help me. I start looking for someone to help me find this topsoil. I donât care about the loading of the topsoil, I just want to get the product. Finally I find a guy and he says that the topsoil is out of stock. Just as I am about to move my car, a contractor truck goes around my car and into shed 4. Now I decide to leave my car where it is to run into store to do the return. While making the return, a Rings End employee enters the store and tells me to move my car and says âwho parks a car like thatâ! He could have politely asked me to move my car. Sooo rude! I had a major landscaping project to complete in a few days and I wasted so much time at Rings End in Darien. I was told by a gentleman that stepped in that Wilton had a bunch of the topsoil so I drove to Wilton Rings End and had a completely different experience. It was a pleasure going to Wilton but the Darien store does not know anything about...
