American Eagle — Local services in Davenport

Probably the worst experience I’ve had with any retailer. I ordered a couple pair of jeans online about two weeks ago. When they finally came in one was too big and the other too small. I called the store to see if I could come in and exchange them and they said yes. I mentioned that I had taken the tags off and the lady I spoke with said that was fine. I get to the store to process the exchange and the guy(only guy that was working 7/22 around noonish, didn’t get his name.) said that the jeans had been worn and washed. I politely told him that I literally just tried them on and brought them back because they didn’t fit. He continued to argue with me saying and I quote “I can tell these have been washed and worn plus the tags are off” I continue to politely explain that I was told it was okay to have the tags off if I had my order number. I felt like he was calling me a lair which I didn’t not appreciate as a customer! And the fact that he was arguing with me rudely was disappointing. Why would I wear a pair of jeans, wash them and try to exchange them?!...
