ok so my mom took me here after i got off of work. it was about a 10 minute drive so ill say we got in at around 9:50. when we got in, there were only 3 groups in there (keep that in mind for this entire review) and if they didn't already have their food, they have definitely had their order taken and were waiting. we got seated immediately, first off the table was sticky, but our server, Victrese, didn't come and talk to us until around 10:15. there were 2 tables sitting next to us and both of them kept getting taken care of by other servers and me and my mom kept getting walked past and ignored. Victrese was the one who had to come back to us to finally get our food and drink orders after being the one who sat us in the first place. I got the 3 tender and 5 boneless wing combo with a side of fries. mind you, at hooters they have both a wet AND a dry lemon pepper option. so that's what i got. i ordered for my 5 boneless wings to be wet lemon pepper and for my 3 tenders to be the dry lemon pepper. although that is what i ordered, that is not what I got. finally 10:45 rolls around, and i finally get my food. instead of having my boneless wings sauced, they put the sauce in a cup with a lid on it on the side. Victrese was like, "oh those were supposed to be sauced do you want me to take them back?", I told her it was fine since at that point i was starving and, lets be honest, who knows how much longer it would've taken for them to be sauced and brought back to me. so, i also get my fries. they were, 1. over cooked, 2. basically cold. how long ago did you make these burnt fries? my mom got 2 flavors with her wings and asked for extra sauce for both of them, after they were brought out and were under sauced, and only received one flavor of extra sauce after asking for two since she got two flavors. I will admit, the wings were really good but why are both of us getting fries that it hurts the roof of our mouths to chew on? although Victrese was nice, she did the bare minimum of taking care of us. you know how servers are supposed to come back and ask how everything is? she did not do that, my mom was going to complain about the fries if she came to check on us, but she didn't so my mom had to get up and find her to ask for 2 new batches of fries. the new batch is good, but they shouldn't have been burnt and cold in the first place. we left a 3 dollar tip but still. i would be a lot more understanding if it was busy, but like I said in the beginning, there were only 3...
Read more10/7/23 @ 6:35pm. My family of 5 with two never before eating at Hooters decided to go to the Davenport location off of Kimberly near the mall. Walked into Hooters it was not a long wait. Was not super busy, and it started out decent. We waited as the servers figured out seating arrangements and were asked politely to wait as they find us a seat. The servers were having a great time with a few other families and one particular that was sitting behind us as we were seated. Good feel, taking pictures with other families vibrant good team work. We were seated at table 31 and we were checking # 149. When it came to our services things started great nice smile cheerful, my husband shared a little football rivalry banter and her demeanor completely changed. No eye contact, very short, and when we would ask for something and say thank you, we got nothing in return. I asked for a side of ranch and she yelled it to the kitchen staff and walked away. She then passed it and is three times before she settled in at that the front to have a full conversation with another employee. Did not return to our table again. I then noticed the manager was standing at the front and went over to talk to her and let her know what was going on. She apologized but did not make it right. We ended up paying full price to eat our meal at home. Having a terrible experience is one thing but the way it was handled was and entirely big mess. Having worked on the food service industry the manager coukd have offered another server to take over, or took off for the drink and also that were not even eaten. We didn't even get threw our appetizer or finish our drinks there. Spent $89.88 to have dinner at home with an upset family. I would have cooked for that. We will never go there again and we will never refer any of our friends to go there. Definitely need to rethink staff. On our receipt it says Hooters makes you happy! It fell very short this time. Service...
Read moreOn this trip I went with some friends and we all got different things to try out. Starting off with appetizers, the fried pickles are a BARGAIN. They are crispier and delicious, but it's twice the size of any other order of fried pickles I have seen. One order will feed a table. I highly recommend them. The pretzels were soft and salty and the beer cheese was a nice addition. I will definitely get those again as well. The mozzarella sticks were really disappointing, the breading is far too thick and the breading is bland, I do not recommend them. The nachos with chicken were good, but the chicken is grilled and in chunks so it's hard to get some in every bite like you would with shredded chicken. I won't be getting those again although the chicken was great! It's just not what I'm looking for on nachos.
I went with a build your own burger, home run style. The patties themselves were cooked well, pink just how I like them. However, the lack of seasoning was apparent. The flavor could have been overshadowed by the amount of grease, but regardless it was blah. The curly fries that come with the burger are great! Seasoned properly, more on the soft side opposed to crispy, and abundant.
The service overall was fair, Lauren did a great job taking care of us. However, the 2 tall boy drink rule we discovered was a mood killer for the rest of the party. We had no idea that was even a thing, and given the reunion occasion we probably would have went elsewhere had we known beforehand. The food took about 30 minutes to come out.
I'll be back at some point to try out the wings people seem to rant and rave about.
I recommend...
