Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Davenport

There has been three times now that I personally have experienced bad food and service. I've been going here ever since I was young, but this passed year I have had three incidents. All three times the food was either cold like it had been sitting, the server had been so slow that the food was unbearable. That is the last time I will ever go back. At 3:00P.M. October 11th, 2012, I was receiving weird looks from server's like they were angry at me or someone. Our salad was old like it had been previously used on someone's table. The salad just seemed sitting, the lettuce had been saturated with dressing, also the bottom was full of dressing. What struck me funny about it was there were nine peppers in the bottom. Of course my family and I ate it, not really thinking anything of it. Later we had our main course and everything was on time and well done no problems. Until we got home and my three year old son started vomiting up the salad he had ate. I then realized how awful the salad was and thinking about how it was prepared. My son didn't eat anything after that none of his meal, he just wanted to color, not showing any signs sickness what so ever. Me and my wife had the top part of the salad and he had the bottom. Awful just awful, for anyone looking to eat here, I advise you to see how your service is, because I'm sure I'm not the only one. I recommend driving an hour to Iowa City, to the Olive Garden there, never once had a bad meal. Davenport's Olive Garden just recently things have been going down hill...

If I could give a million stars I would! From the clean restaurant to the amazing staff/manager!

My husband, 4 year old son, and I went in for a nice time out before the holidays.

Our server- Carolyn P - was FANTASTIC!!!! She was managing a decent amount of tables and always made sure to check in on us, but wasn’t over bearing. She talked with our 4 year old like he was a little guy learning how to order. She was kind and patient. Most servers we encountered at other places ignored our boy. She encouraged his independence and liked that he knew exactly what he wanted!

She thanked us for being patient and kept us up to date on the status of our order. She even made sure our sons meal came out when our soups did so he wasn’t left without food while we ate. 🥺 she brought our free refill drinks without us having to wait or track her down.

After our soups, my husband developed a slight allergic reaction around his eyes. Nothing too serious but out of the ordinary as he has no known allergies and has had this soup numerous times before. The manager - Shangrila Seawright - was so sweet in helping us figure out what may have been the cause and gave us a card of hers to follow up with her if needed. Again- SO SWEET!

When we got our bill, Carolyn admit she had been there only 3 shifts and it had been years since she was in the service industry. You honestly wouldn’t have been able to tell! She was ON IT! She deserves a raise and all the good tips ❤️

My service was absolutely crappy. I came later at night. Around 7. I'm not sure why I was there for almost 2 hours eating by myself. I didn't get greeted for close to 10 min. It was over 5 min because I was timing it. I lost track after because someone showed up to the table 2 away from me. She was getting rid of dirty plates and while walking asked for my drink. She asked if I was ready and I said yes I have been sitting here long enough. She brought my salad 10 min later. Then 20 mins later my meal came. I waited almost another 10 mins for breadsticks she asked if I wanted more of. She brought 2. My pasta was at a cool temp. But I never saw her again. I know it was another 20-30 mins by the time she came by and asked if I wanted a box since I wasn't eating much. I said yes and asked if I could have more breadsticks. She looked around and said I thought I brought them. I said you did but I ate them and wanted more. You never came back to check on me. And I told her about my free dessert for my birthday. I was trying to get the code since my phone turned dark and she was snippy saying ill just put it in. We aren't allowed to ask for ID. It was the day before my birthday and I didn't expect this kind of service. Wasn't that great last time I came here and worse this time. Then while walking out the host and some other staff were on the benches on their phones. Never bothered to say a word to me. I think you need new...
