Avoid at all costs
I will NOT be returning to this salon! I cannot believe this is an establishment that is training young men and women to be working professionals. I visited with my mother to treat her for her birthday and we both immediately noticed the environment was extremely uncomfortable. My stylist asked her supervising teacher (I think her name was Miss Styger) for assistance 3+ times during my haircut and was not helped! How can you be training students but not help when they have a paying customer in their chair?? That was ridiculous. It's no wonder my haircut turned out how it did, it looked like my stylist wanted to cry from frustration. I felt so bad for her, imagine having to learn in that environment every day!!! I have never experienced this type of salon environment in my 30+ years visiting salons 4, sometimes 5 times a year. I had heard that Capri has a certain reputation but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Never ever again!! We were there for our hair appointments for 2+ hours, and the entire time I saw "teachers" huddle on one end of the room and whisper and laugh about the students and their clients during appointments. Unacceptable. This is not high school!!!!!!! 0/5 stars, I would give negative stars if I could. Do better, educators!! Or find...
Ā Ā Ā Read morefinancial aid problems. i went for about 3 weeks then asked about financial aid as alot of girls complained about needing to give up their job just to be able to go here and their exscuse was thats cosmetology school. they just gave me stories about what i was to recieve and when. i decided to drop and go get an assoc in psychology instead of a trade school and when i did so i asked for a print out of what i owed and how much was being taken off for the kit they were keeping which included styling tools, mannequin heads and more. They apparently didnt want to do that so they told me to keep the kit and charged my financial aid for it and said i would be sent a check of what was left over. havent recieved said check i didnt ask for either. keep ontop of your financial aid becasue they will try to make money off of you. i also had items missing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was impressed with Alyissa's honesty with me being the first ethnic hair she had ever worked on and hadn't even had the class yet, but she was so professional and open to learn. If she had questions she asked her instructor. She allowed me to give her a couple of suggestions and the results were wonderful! I scheduled to go back to her next week. I have to admit I was a bit turned off when I first called to make an appt and asked for a stylist who could do ethnic hair, the person very rudely said "all of our stylist are trained". While that was not true and training doesn't mean you can do it, the student, Allyissa definitely made up for the lady's rudeness. Alyissa definitely has a bright future if she stays humble. Right now she has the total package. The call is the only reason I can't rate my...
