Please also read the COMPLAINT everyone as it is not against the restaurant but I do have a concern about activity that I had witnessed, visiting the yesterday.
I had a wonderful experience the other day when I had went to your restaurant. I and my wife had been there the first time. We had ordered your package dinners which were very excellent for the price and taste. The restaurant was very interesting to other places I had been as well. The only COMPLAINT I would have is when leaving the restaurant I had noticed an older mid-built, dark haired gentlemen. I seemed to pay no attention but he was in the direction of my car and as approaching he looked like smoking a Cigarette. When I had gotten nearer to my car he grabbed whatever he was smoking and hid it in his pocket. I noticed the odor to be different then what a Cigar or Cigarette smells like. I implied to ask his name and he replied his name was Chris and I said hi my name is Doug and asked if he had worked here. He replied he was a cook and we had a brief conversation after. As my wife came out, we went to leave and I discussed this with her. I am very curious as to if you are doing drug testing on your individuals as this gentlemen did not seem to be smoking a Cigarette, or if he was I did not quite understand the odd odor and the act of him hiding it real quickly in his pocket. I would love to come back to this restaurant again as the food was delicious but am afraid if there are drug addicts or dealers there; with my children and many friends I have this would not be an environment to go to. I also talked to many of my workers and that about this situation and about be careful bringing their children there as well if there is drug activity going on there. My only concern is that you may need to do a drug testing to promote a safe family environment...
Read moreI got off work craving a hot sandwich this afternoon. I've been to Jersey Grille a few times in the past, and thought I'd return today to satisfy this craving.
When I arrived I found the restaurant mostly empty, perhaps a few families sitting in the tables further into the restaurant space. Since I was dining alone, I took up a space at the bar. Quickly enough, the friendly bartender got me the Diet Mountain Dew I ordered and I had a menu to ponder.
I ended up choosing the New York Philly Cheese steak with fries for my meal. I had my order within about 15-20 minutes. The highlight of the meal was definitely the crinkle cut fries. Many places don't fry them enough/right, such that they are soggy or otherwise not crisp. These fries had the combination of crisp exterior and fluffy interior that a good french fry should have. Combined with the light salting, they were definitely the best fries I'd had in a while.
I can't really give the same praise to the cheese steak. This sandwich suffered from several deficiencies, including having way too much filling, not being adequately toasted (bun sogged up quickly) and being pretty bland otherwise. It didn't taste bad by any means, it just wasn't a good Philly cheese steak sandwich.
I still enjoy other things on Jersey Grille's menu, including the burgers. I'll probably be sticking to those from here on out. The general atmosphere of the space is great too - plenty of TVs, low not-harsh lighting, and a general low- to medium-level of sound (I never felt overwhelmed by the volume of the music). I'm definitely looking forward to coming back for a burger in the future. Thanks for being a...
Read moreWe decided to visit Jersey Grille on a Sunday to watch an early out of market football game. The fact that the parking lot wasn't packed with the Packers Vikings game should have been our first clue. It had been awhile since we had been to Jersey Grille and it has gone seriously downhill.
First, no NFL Sunday Ticket. Still many TVs on every wall....showing two games. Our server fluctuated between boredom and apathy but our hopes were high when we saw the menu that was offered.
We ordered an appetizer of queso and chips with lunch orders of the club sandwich and two tenderloin sandwiches. All were ordered with fries and slaw as the sides. The queso was straight from a jar and the chips looked and tasted like premade chips that were dropped into the fryer for a bit too long. The club sandwich was passable. The tenderloins were more like frozen Tyson pork fritters....small, thin and tasteless. The fries on every plate were cold and looked like Ore Ida frozen fries....small and tasteless. The cole slaw had a odd sour taste like it maybe had one more day of shelf life. We left the majority of all our plates uneaten. It was a disgusting waste of money and time.
What happened...
