Cashier was VERY RUDE! I had a large order of smaller household needs; over $450.00 to be exact. I tried several times to get her to take over bagging but,she was more concerned with nagging to people behind me about my order.
I was all but, laying over the belt, bagging when I nearly passed completely out, profusely sweating and getting weaker. She did nothing to help... NOTHING! NOT even have some help me out of store with cart, let alone ask if I was ok or needed help. Instead, she turned to the people behind me and said Sorry, finally, how can people do that and others up in line.
I should have walked out as soon as she rang everything up for her ignorance and rudeness when someone ask for help and is having HEART issues.
Perhaps she is in need of a reminder of where her paycheck comes from
Rudely stated, Don't forget get to look at your receipt and mail in by date for savings. Ahh
work of mouth is the best advertising.... Davison store employees have issues. I WILL NOT send anyone else there until resolved
11% rebate IS a joke,I have yet to ever see one return from this particular location. They do NOT assist with issues. Tell you go inline and provide receipt... that's the issue... ONLINE.THERE IS NO ASSISTANCE FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE ONLINE.
I WOULD NOT have given this trip one star if we're possible to have zero or a negative.
Totally,fine...I WALKED AWAY! NASTY APPEARANCE. LOOK LIKE SLEPT IN BACK OF RYDER TRUCK CLOTHES AND ALL BUT, COULD HAVE HAVE WIPED SLEEP OUT OF EYES EVEN WITH HAND,OR TOILET PAPER... WHEREVER THEY WERE TOILETING.
I HAD SCHETCHY FEELING ABOUT IT, SO WALKED AWAY AND WSS NOT GOING TO GO INTO MENARD'S AFTER THAT....AND SHOULDN'T HAVE.
YOU MAY PAY MORE AT HOME DEPOT BUT, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE ARE 100% BETTER.
I WOULD LIKE $$$$ ALL$$$$ MY REBATES OWED BY MENARD'S AND HAVE NEVER GOTTEN WOULD BE ABOUT$1500+.in Davison ALONE!! THANKS NEIGHBORS NEVER AGAIN!! PERHAPS I SHALL ASK ATTORNEY WHAT TO DO FOR NOT HAVING HELP WHEN ASKING....ITS MORE THAN 11% I KNOW! LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR...
Read moreI bought a weed whip in the Davison, MI location and the handle was loose. I went to return it and was going to take a look at what else was back there. Apparently, there's a no refund policy. I asked if there were signs stating this with the product I was told "no, there should be, but it's on the receipt here" as she points to it. I stated I wouldn't have gotten the receipt until AFTER I purchased said product. She then points behind her and said " it's on the sign here too" to which I respond "you're saying I need to stop and read every sign in the store so I know what risk I'm taking when buying something here?" Finally the GM comes up. He starts grabbing the product and twisting the handle like he didn't believe me or something. He tells me the same thing (he was a smart alec as well). I've been around enough to know once something fails in its initial use odds are it's an issue with the design as a whole so exchanging it will more than likely give me the same problem. The other products back there were garbage. I didn't want those. I thought I would try this and I'm disappointed it it. I used Menards often but with this exchange policy I'll never darken their door again. Before I left I asked "so if this one fails you're saying I'm stuck in a cycle of exchanges?" They said "if something else happens call us. We can talk to the manager again (which I know is useless) and we will talk to the hardware manager to see what we can do?" Why aren't we taking this path already? I don't have faith in the product. I've spent a lot of money here over the years and honestly I like the store but I'm not going to deal with these policies. Looks like Home Depot it is. It's unfortunate Lowes pulled out of the area. They were the best. Anyways, enjoy the $200 you got from me this time. It will be the last. In the big scheme of things you'll never notice my absence but $1000s will be going else where that would have been coming there. Every customer matters. At minimum, clearly mark your stuff and don't give me some lame...
Read moreOk, getting even worse, from 3 to 2 stars, than my below review. Lady at service desk for returns, was apparently (I was actually in the store picking up more stuff) sorta rude to my wife, simply returning two boards with the receipts. I had picked up the one 2x4 only a day earlier at the Lake Orion store, and that one never even left my truck as it was only a backup spare. Anyhow she was ranting about how the bar code would scan, it wasn't the board on the receipt, etc, etc... Really, over one 2x4 that I certainly bought from Menards.
In general, the panel products are ok (reluctantly taking fairly warped 3/4" BCX plywood tonight, after picking through any scuffed and others warped). Drywall, insulation, electrical, hardware, are all ok.... But the dimensional lumber is just horrid at Menards. Really horrible! I go elsewhere now for dimensional, I have to - can't afford the time to pick through for what is only so-so lumber, and then to get home and later find that it is still most all junk (split, warped, chunked up).
I bet we've spent $40-50k at Menards over the past 10 or so years (Clio, Bay City, Davison), but I now find myself seriously leaning back to Home Depot and Lowes - certainly for lumber (although not greatly better, still better). I'd go to Carters, if they were open after 5pm.
Anyhow, choose wisely, cheaper isn't always better.
Previous review: Getting worse. Always liked Menards, been going to them all over for a long time. This one keeps getting worse, horrible wood quality, and always out of stock on stuff. Home Depot, here I come! ....returning stuff right now, super long line,...
