Let me start by saying the facility is extremely nice. I loved the cleanliness, tranquility, and feel it had to offer. Some nail salons are cluttered and disorganized, but there was nothing in the salon that was out of place.
However, there was a miscommunication about what services I wanted done. When I informed Jenny that I in fact did want a manicure, as well as, a polish change she seemed annoyed as she had already put the base coat on one hand before I realized she hadnāt done the manicure portion. I apologized profusely for the miscommunication, but her annoyance was still apparent. She grabbed her tools and went to work right away. She didnāt file the sides of my nails down which I thought was odd, but at this point I already felt like I had been put in the position of a difficult customer. Then as she put the polish on a few bubbles appeared because she was applying the layers too thick. I asked her to please fix them as I knew Iād destroy my nails the second I got out of the salon picking at them. Again, the utmost annoyance. She was having a hard time concealing it on her face at this point. I let her finish, the whole time apologizing for being difficult. As she finished up i was inspecting my nails. She says to me, āwhatās wrong just tell me.ā At that point I felt pretty embarrassed, and was not about to make her redo them all again.
As soon as I got to my car I noticed another bubble on the same nail she had to redo, and visible brush strokes on about half the nails. As soon as I got home it had already started chipping off the tip on one of my thumbs and middle fingers. She didnāt properly seal the ends. I still gave her a generous tip (almost 30%) because she has to make a living, although Iām extremely displeased with my nails, and her attitude at the time. Maybe it wasnāt a good day for her. I also am pregnant so I know some days are hard to deal with people. But honey, youāre providing a service, and you have to fake it til you make it regardless. I was hoping to have found my new nail salon, but I wonāt be back.
On a side note, I also noticed they donāt use disposable liners on their pedicure...

I understand things can run behind schedule once in awhile but time after time the last few months is too much. I have had to leave two times due to the salon being way over booked and every other time have waited over 15-30 minutes. Today I waited half hour and was told there were 4 people ahead of me. I have other appointments which even if I didnāt, who would want to waste Well over at least an hour just sitting there. There were 6 people waiting for services me the 7th so an hour is probably being generous. Also when I have been scheduled and get a service ( never on time) usually wait a minimum of 15 minutes they are so rushed the services are suffering due to lack of focus and attention. Technicians going from person to person often serving other clients at the same time.I used to love this place so much, was loyal and even referred friends and family. But with the quality of services going down and lack of respect for appointments and clients time Iām going to have to go to another salon I have found in wayzata. Sorry to give negative feedback but if others are like me and rely on appointments to be honored this may be helpful so your not like me blocking out time from your day only having to walk out without the needed service and wasted time! In response to the owner : Yes after waiting a half an hour and telling me there were four people ahead of me, you offered to turn on the water. I told you I had a 3:00 appointment in wayzata I would have missed that if I waited another hour for you to actually start the pedicure. I did not want to sit in a chair doing nothing for another hour as I had already sat there a half hour past my appointment time. So of course I left. Second visit-must say this place is nice looking but I will not go back. When I came in the place probably has 30 chairs and maybe 5 customers. I may not be the only one not going back. People are friendly for the most part. I went in a week before Christmas and wanted RED, wouldn't you think most people would want this color, NO RED, how can a salon this big not have RED!! The first time I went I wanted PINK, no pink? How is this possible, nope no pink.
I get Dip for my hands and Gel toes. The polish in both cases started to come off the first week. I am 65 and have been getting my nails done often but I have NEVER had polish come off like this after less than one week. I called and complained and was told to come back. I live 1 hr away and said I wanted a refund but they would not give it to me. I finally went back 6 months later and it was just as bad.
