We went to sign up for a Verizon wireless plan today. We were quoted a price which was high ($70 per month), but we accepted it. We asked if we could pay using a credit card which we were told was not a problem. Once we got to the end of the signup process (took more than 30 minutes) we were told that the price had now increased to $80. The sales rep was “generous” enough to offer us a $10 discount which would take us down to the originally agreed upon price of $70. But we now had to do a monthly deduction from our bank account instead of paying with a credit card. Our rational was pretty simple: we were paying with our corporate credit card and did not want a deduction from our personal bank account. Most unprofessional to change the price / bring up new conditions once we had a deal. Their pricing is a rip off in the first place, but to increase the price like this borderlines a scam.
After about a month there was a "response from the owner" here on Google maps. It is literally the first time I have had anyone respond to any of my numerous email and phone calls. HOWEVER, they are not willing to deal with me in writing. The way things are going now I probably need to hire an attorney to avoid the fraudulent invoices going to collecting. So I need things to be in writing. But whereas they record the phone conversations when I call, I am left without a written paper trail. This system is setup to screw consumers (pardon my french) and I do not see any other way than to hire legal assistance.    Read moreLooks like the review I posted several months ago was removed, although not flattering, it was 100% true. So, as I sit on hold with Verizon on September 8 2020 still trying to fix a problem this store created in September of 2019 I figure I would give an update.
This store sold me a phone that was a lemon, lied to me about being able to return it. I went back with the phone within the two week return period, was told that i needed to try some software updates and if it didn't work that there was enough documentation that I went back within two weeks and i could return it. I tried the updates, they did not work,went back to the store and was told I was now outside of the two week return window and that set off a chain of events which, 12 months later, is still not resolved. For months they kept pushing me off to Apple, who pushed me off to them, then pushed me off to verizon and I became stuck in an endless loop of stupidity and incompetence.
I think the people who work there are incompetent liars and serve no useful purpose when it comes to working out problems, particularly ones they created themselves.
I have had the same Verizon business account for 20 years and it looks like my run with Verizon has now come to an end, thanks to this cellular sales store and their lies and...

I somehow restored all my son's information, who also has an account on my computer with iTunes. My information, contacts, messages, notes, etc. was gone….replaced with my son’s contacts, notes, etc. As I am not very tech savy, this was disastrous for me..I had spent so much time trying to do this and at this point was distraught!!
I was tired and frustrated and at 7:30 pm last night went to the Deerfield Beach Verizon store Federal Hwy) to get help. Kyle Murphy was there, and he recognized how upset I was, calmed me down, and told me he would do everything he could to help me out and get my information back. Well, he did in fact restore my phone back to my original settings. He worked with me for over an hour, and I have to say that he was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and professional. I walked into the store distressed, and walked out smiling. I have to say that I travel back and forth all year from Florida to NY and I have always had the greatest experience with the reps from the Deerfield Beach store.
