GREATLY overpriced on almost every item in the store. Otherwise, they carry a nice selection & good variety of quality food and other pet care items made by recognizable, if not all the well known and top quality brands. For most common pets and their needs, this is a quick & easy place to get in&out of fast with quality products and/or purchases. I have never purchased a pet here, nor used amy of their vet, grooming or other animal services, but they usually do sell & mostly have in stock all the usual animal suspects one might expect (I.e.: Kittens, dogs, fish, mice, etc..). My ONLY qualm or complaint with this place is their pricing, which I feel is significantly higher than not only almost all internet sites, stores, shipping clubs &/or discount&wholesale places (as I expect it to be&that's OK) as well as most, if not all the well known food store chains, big box stores, wholesale & /or membership clubs, bulk purchase centers, retail markets & supercenters (which I question somewhat), yet even most of our pet food/product/nutrition stores that are primarily local&privately owned small businesses in the heart of town are cheaper semi-often, if not relatively equal in price overall. Frankly, as far as I can think of, only one gourmet pet food & snack store which makes everything to order in front of you&uses only all-natural, U.S. sourced, organics &other such ingredient is consistently higher on prices, although considering that store's location & home city, customer demographic, inventory cost, payroll&labor cost (it has a freaking certified Chef) plus the haute image it attempts to convey, I wouldn't be surprised if they inflate their price just to make it the most costly private label, handmade pet food currently on the market, anywhere..Either way, I'd think a dedicated pet store could get me a relatively decent size cat tree for under $180 ($120 on sale) or a standard litter box for less than $12.99 to $16.99 or the mat to go below it for under $8.99. To their credit, they have some wet cat food (in cans)that's VERY competitively priced & then others that are...
Read moreOn Sunday I stopped in to pick up some dog food. (right after getting a pedicure) When I went down the isle, I noticed that unfortunately the bag I needed was on the top shelf. I asked an older women for some help and apologized for the inconvenience. (I mean, its really annoying that of all bags mine had to be on the top shelf). She climbed up a ladder and aggressively started punching the bags that were in the way and pulled a bag (the wrong bag) and started screaming 'excuse me hellooo hereeeee' and I put my arms up to grab the bag and said ' oh no I need the other one.' She let go of the bag before I grabbed it and it fell on top of a storage container, that fell on my foot. It was so painful that I turned around. I started bleeding. By that point she grabbed the right bag and again started screaming 'hello mam hereeee hello.' I turned around and grabbed the bag and turned around again, being in so much pain I wasn't aware I didn't say thank you. As she got off the ladder she looks at me and goes ' you're welcome,' as if I were ungrateful of her help. I cannot believe how rude this women was. I visit this location from time to time - its a mile away from my house. Another women witnessed this and insisted I report the issue. I felt uncomfortable and the young women at the front counter took my number down and said the manger would call me asap. It's Tuesday and I haven't received a call and I now have a blood blister -on what was a new pedicure now ruined...
Read moreLast 2 days ago I went to buy comment gold fishes to your store at Hillsboro and US 1 corner at Deerfield Beach. I found out your store kept together with burmese catfishes and gold fishes. Small sucking catfishes are trying to sucking all of the gold fishes in the tank. First of all I knew they sucked fungus from the gold fishes. But actually the were biting all the fishes and eating dead body of fishes. When I told to sales person, she took out dead body fishes from the tank. While I was in the store about 5 min, those sucking fishes are trying to suck the eyes of the other gold fishes. Sales person told me, she will talk to manager about that. Then I bought 2 comment gold fishes even though I had plan to buy only one. One fish is just normal gold fish. But another one is white one I thought. But it is not white, because of those small sucking catfishes that comment fish does not have any skin shell and the worse thing is it eye cannot see anything. It's eyes might have been sucked by small catfishes. Within two days I found out that fish cannot see other fishes, stones, plants, foods anything. What a pity fishes in your store that kept together with small sucking catfishes. Please action immediately to do not keep together small catfishes and other fishes. Hope you will take care this matter promptly. I have photo of that unshelled blinded comet gold fish for your information...
