Best RPG game and Comic store around. Tom is friendly, helpful, and always polite. He doesn't bombard you as soon as you enter his store. He allows you to look around before asking if you need any help and doesn't hound you if your ready to check out. Toms staff assists him regularly and will offer help if needed.
They have daily events going on and vending machines for snacks/drinks. Friday's and Saturday's are there big game nights, so it does get crowded quickly. Sunday they offer a painting event for new comers and experienced alike for $10.00
He offers a verity of items ranging from comics, posters, collectables, table top miniatures, board games, card games, dice, mats, to painting for miniatures.
I have been to other shops all over Oklahoma City and the experience I've received is always as just another consumer, not a fellow gamer. As a result I've been a regular with Tom since 1996.
It doesn't matter if you starting out or been in it for years, the gamers there will welcome you and show you the ropes. Politeness, respectfulness, and courteousness is all that's asked and they will show...

One of my favorite hangouts. Even the people who hang there are awesome, and very welcoming.
If I play on Saturday it's my spot. It's not as overly busy as games hq, making it a much more enjoyable place, though I do enjoy games hq as well. Just depends on the day of the week which one I'd rather go to. Honestly, it's one of 3-4 places I enjoy playing, but it's one of my favorites.
Say hi to the owner when you get there. He's extremely awesome and really nice. He's even super happy to check to see if he has something you want on a phone call, and everytime I've asked him to hold a product for me, he's done exactly that. On lunch looking for something, if he has it, he will hold it at the counter with your name on it for you.
Gives discounts from his sticker price, which is already below MSRP by a few bucks (usually about 5-10 bucks less, add in discount at register). Unless I die before I get a chance to, I will be back there...
Read moreThe first time we went in you could hardly get through the door it was so crowded. The noise level was ridiculous & the customer base smelled. Additionally it was not obvious who even worked there. I spent 20 mins talking to a guy who acted like it was his store only to find out he's just a regular there.
A week ago I tried calling during business hours. Rang 15 times & no one answered. So I pm'ed on Facebook. Asked about a couple of specific paints I was trying to find. Was told yes they had one of them. I drive there only to find out they don't even carry it let alone have it in stock.
The owner/employee told me it's likely out of production but it is not. Just not overly popular. But it's not like he came over to ask me to begin with. I was looking for a good 5-10 minutes within his eye shot before he simply hollered across the room if I needed help.
Despite a further drive, my business goes to Game HQ...
