Honey Bee Donut — Restaurant in Del City

My husband and I have been here several times and every single time it’s wonderful. The donuts are so incredibly light and fluffy, the flavor of the dough itself is so delicious. It has the nicest touch of a creamy vanilla flavor. My favorite donut has always been boston cremes, but here I cant steer away from their filled glazed donuts with bavarian cream. My husband is obsessed with their old fashioned cake donuts, it’s very similar to honey crullers. Slight bit of crunch, softer inside, not too dense. Absolutely fantastic. Staff is always incredibly friendly! They always throw in extra little treats for us with our order and it’s always so appreciated. Their kolaches are wonderful too, the dough on them is not too dense either. I am a bread lover, but my husband isn’t the biggest fan but he cannot avoid those jalepeño kolaches, they’re just too good. Also have tried their breakfast burritos and croissant sandwiches, those are also so so good. The salsa they have with the burritos is really nice too, not just unsalted tomatoes in a cup, which I have experienced at other places before. Definitely my go-to donut shop always and my standard if I ever go...

I rolled in planning to grab a couple donuts for my wife and daughter—my sweet-tooth quota for the year, honestly. I don’t chase sugar. I’m the designated “supportive guy in line” when it comes to pastry runs.

But then… the menu whispered “kolache.” And a distant review echoed in my head like prophecy: “Try. The. Kolaches.”

So I did. And friends, I was not ready. I’ve eaten hot dogs on multiple continents. I’ve had street food in cities that don’t have plumbing. But this? This was spiritual.

Warm, savory, subtly sweet—a doughy embrace around a perfectly seasoned dog. I’m pretty sure I saw a beam of light hit the tray as they handed it over. It’s that good.

Will I drive 30 minutes each way just for a kolache? Yes. Will I pretend it’s “for the family” while eating one in the car before I get home? Also yes.

The donuts? Excellent. My family devoured them and demanded more.

But for me, this place is now a kolache shrine. Five stars and one extremely satisfied...

We don't often do donuts. When we crave them we wait a while to get them(not any more) and then usually regret it from Dunkin donuts or other places. This is the very 1st donut place in 5 different States that we did not regret what we ordered. It was absolutely wonderful. It tasted great and the portion size was perfect. Nowhere in it did we feel ripped off or like the quality wasn't worth spending the money on. I have to hand it to honey bees donuts. They stand above the rest and this is one of the only places that does when it comes to breakfast food besides 1 other in downtown OKC that I have found to be outstanding. This will be the only donut place we go to. We also got the egg and sausage cheese wraps as well as the ham egg and cheese croissants and it was all spectacular. I don't leave many reviews unless the place is worth it or absolutely horrible. This place is definitely worth it.

P.s. also got the coffee shake....
