It sure is hard to shop these days. I needed a white dress shirt. They had them, but just about everything in the store was "on sale," but you needed a coupon, which apparently required having the belks app on your phone. I don't want to clog up my phone with apps that exist just to advertise to me. So I wanted to get an associate to tell me the price for the shirt. I had to walk all over the store to find one. There's a register in every department, but they were almost all closed. So I finally found someone and told her I wanted to know the price before I tried on the shirt. She scanned the you tag and said it was $31. I tried on the shirt and it fit. So I came back, and she was dealing with a customer who was buying a bunch of stuff. She called over another associate, who rang up the shirt...$55. I said, no, she just checked the price and it was 31. Well, you have to have the coupon, so you have to have the app. I don't want the app, and I don't want the shirt if it's $55. So of course she applied the "coupon" anyway. But then, do I want the credit card? No, I don't. Can I have your email address? No, you can't. The thing is, I like the store. I like the products they sell, and the prices. But it's become such a hassle to shop there, I'll probably avoid it...

Each and every time I visit the store it is just a disappointment with their staff either you get ignored or you get treated snottily or they treat you like youāre gonna steal some thing. These ladies are not friendly, especially the lady thatās always in the jewelry or shoe department with short auburn hair. Sheās a very judgmental person. I entered the store today and there are five make up counters not one single employee was at one single counter. I stood there for well over 10 minutes with no help! Like I said, I am a card holder. I carry a zero balance, and thereās a reason for that I will not shop at a store that treats people so poorly. Thereās plenty other businesses that will take my money...

I drove the 40 mins only to be told that all the promo gifts were gone (the promo began yesterday) due to a pre sale. I wouldāve appreciated a call or email but nobody took the time.
You can imagine how frustrating this was only to be told, āwell we actually do have some promo gifts left you just didnāt get one because it didnāt work out.ā I inquired more to be told āwell we can give you one if you return this makeup and then turn around and re purchase it.ā I donāt know if I am crazy or if that truly is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
