My fiancé and I went to see a Christmas play here recently and were horribly disappointed at the treatment we received. We followed instructions sent to us in an email that we received about an hour prior to arriving for the show. We happily wore our masks in, while at consessions, and while we found our seats. Once we were seated, we took off our masks as the email instructed that vaccinated guests could remove their masks once seated. We were very rudely instructed to put our masks back on by an older female employee. When we calmly explained that we were instructed it was perfectly ok to remove them, she proceeded to argue with us and state that “they are not the best at updating the website” However we received the email with these instructions literally only an hour prior to arrival. I would also like to add that there were other patrons not wearing masks who for some reason were never bothered or asked to put them on. I am also 8 months pregnant and struggle with the feeling of not being able to breath in a mask. We definitely wouldn’t have purchased tickets had we known this would be the case and that we would be treated this way. We definitely won’t be back. There are plenty of other places to see plays...
Read moreWe enjoy the shows here for the most part. However, and this has happened 2x to us now, I purchased 2 tix to Dracula on Oct 11 for the Oct 12 show (after Milton). It is understandable that they may have been impacted. However, my daughter and I showed up last night, again, to our disappointment with a make shift sign saying “Closed due to Milton”. Again, to be clear, totally understandable but here is the issue:
Nothing is posted on their website that this is a cancelled show. Perhaps this was on social media but we do not subscribe to toxic social media. It is reasonable to expect this to be on their commercial website.
Why did they even allow me to even buy a ticket the day prior??!! Were they open Oct 11 or did they expect to be open Oct 12, no of course. Again, I purchased this ticket on Oct 11 from their website with absolutely no indication they were closed. It is unreasonable to sell a ticket to a show that is cancelled knowing they could not honor the offer.
This also happend a few years ago with Frankenstein I believe.
Great venue but...
Read moreVery very disappointed in the rules of this establishment. We paid $70 for two tickets on December 5th "A Christmas Carol" play. An hour into the play, the theater had an emergency and everyone exhited the building. Having no idea how long we'd have to wait for the Fire Dept to address the issue. It could have been 2 hours wait for all we know. Having a special-need autistic son, I wasnt able to stay there waiting with him as the interrupted situation was affecting his behavior and anxiety. Having no idea how long the situation was to take to be resolved, we had to leave. Certainly this place was going to at least give us a raincheck. To my surprise, they refused to give us a refund or at least a raincheck. Good management would make right on wrong for having had to inconvenience us.. Take care of your local patrons who support your establishment. It will affect the attendance in the future because I surely wont ever go back or recommend anyone attending any of their events in the future. Im glad I didnt donate. Well, I kind of did. Im...
