I found everything I needed food wise, there was minimal variety on baby formula though. Minimal in quantity and minimal as in selection. No travel packs etc. And while I did find all that I needed it was a bit of a challenge to do so where as it seems in Walmart that it's right in front of your face. Also, this is a no brainer but unless you're a couponer, be ready for higher prices for the same brands of food as Walmart also. Ps Walmart is not my go to store, I shop all around so I am not biased. To me the comparison just seems to be the truth. The staff was VERY nice, however. Some would even stop me to see my baby and one very nice emploemployee was head over heels to see one that young because his wife or girlfriend is expecting and was literally biting his nails he was so in love at the sight of my little one. He asked for tips. I want expecting to give out knowledge so I stuttered at first and the only two things that came to mind after having 3 babies back to back was be prepared for no sleep ever again (at the most 2 hours) and please find it in your heart to never lose your temper in front of a baby or child. He was so happy and thanked me so many times. Now I'm sure different mothers would have thrown out way more advice or different advice now that you've had time to think about the question but those two things are important. One is a very true expectation and one is a much needed shot of advice. But a big shout out goes to this younger man/employee. He was beyond kind and o guarantee he is just as helpful as...
Read moreThe store is always clean even the rest rooms. I shop here all the time. However I give them a 2 because of the staff. None of the staff is very friendly. They are always depressed looking or look like they hate their job. The one heavyset white guy with glasses that works up front is the most rude slob they have working there. He didn't greet me or thank me I had my groceries separated the way I wanted it bagged and he shoved my items in the bag any kind of way. I complained to the mgr on duty and he said that he would speak to the store mgr about it. Obviously nothing happened because I went back in there the other night and it was lines of customers and that big slob was standing in between the register line talking with another cashier and not doing nothing but taking up space. If that is the best they can do as far as employees then that's just awful. I have not been in ALDI yet but it may be my new grocery store. I think I will check them out this weekend and say bye bye to food Lion. I rather py more for getting customer service then go to a store where people are rude. I hope this is directed to the right food lion. I am talking about the one in Delmar de. The manager needs to work on their staffs customer service skills. I wonder how many others have stopped shopping there because of...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Food Lion for the past 12 years. Today has changed that. I was insulted and disrespected by a cashier named Brandon, a younf slim fellow with a little handlebar mustache. I had 2 similar items but not the same. One was a original rotissery chicvken and the other was a BBQ chicken. There was a 2 dollar price difference between them, according to the tags on the shelf. He scanned the BBQ chicken first at the correct price of 7.99. He then tried to scan the original but could not get it to scan. He put it down snd picked up the BBQ and scanned it a second time at the higher price. When I asked him if the price was the same, he sarcadtically told me, "They are now". I then asked him if it was common practice to cheat the customers. He just gave me a glarring look and said, "If I can't scan the bar code you'll just have to deal with." I had him call the manager and another young guy came to the resgister. It was apparant the manager did not want to get involved and quickly dismissed the incident. This little boy should be fired or at least demoted to the warehouse. He should not be allowed to communicate with...
