Unfortunately I have to update my previous review, in which I praised this salon and recommended it to anyone looking for a quality pedicure. The quality has gone down significantly in the past several months, and a number of new hires are pretty bad and completely clueless as what they are supposed to do. I took my friend here today, after having raved about "the best place in Florida," and we were both left extremely disappointed. We both asked for a sole specific pedicure which is concentrated around callus removal. The pedicure used to come with flavored crystals for the water, now they just use regular water and some unbranded products. My friend was getting her pedicure first, and the guy doing it had no idea what that particular pedicure meant. She mentioned several times that she wants the sole pedicure, he nodded in agreement and then proceeded to give her a regular pedicure. He didn't apply the callus remover gel nor used a scraper to remove dead skin. He already applied lotion and gave her a massage when he noticed that my technician was applying gel and removing calluses, so he picked up a scraper and stated doing the same (skin removal has to come before lotion application). My technician did not do a thorough job at removing calluses and just quickly scraped off some superficial skin. After paying $50 (+ tip) for a pedicure, my feet feel rough and are covered in dead skin. The pedicure also used to come with a 10 min scrub, followed by a 10 min massage. Now they just lazily rubbed our legs for 20 min without doing any actual foot massaging. And they didn't even go all the way to the knee, so just rubbed in the ankle/calf area. My technician kept on asking what time it is because she didn't have a watch or a stop clock to time the massage - so much for relaxing. My technician was ok at painting toenails, unfortunately my friend's technician looked like this is the first time he's applying nail polish, and left giant unpainted gaps. Whenever i used to get pedicures at Noire, the nail tech would cut off the side of my toenail that are growing inward, this time, the sides were just left to curl inward. My friend also did nail dip power with her tech and it looked extremely awful, with thick mounds of powder on the base of the nail, followed by a literal dip in the middle of the nail, followed by another mound on the tip, giving her nails a concave shape. And the edges weren't filed well and felt rough and uneven. I've got a regular manicure and it was OK, but nowhere near great. The cuticles weren't thoroughly removed and the paint job is a little sloppy. Not awful, just not worthy of $17. Unfortunately once this place became busy, they started to sacrifice quality for the sake...
Read more3/27 UPDATE: this salon has refused to give me any sort of refund for the damage done to my nails, not only did I receive damage on my nail beds from Noire’s nail tech but antibiotics from the nails being jammed so far into my nails. This nail salon is extremely greedy, dirty, and their lack of compassion assisting their customers has blown me away. Ladies, there are amazing gel x salons in Boca. For the sake of your time and money and cleanliness go somewhere else. They also force positive reviews on you upon check out so do not be fooled. Do not get gel x here. This was truly traumatizing and their response below is completely untrue. I have no reason to lie about a service such as this - my new nail tech and salon were even more concerned! Even if they don’t give me my $ back it just shows me even more how bad their intentions are to hurting customers.
I came back here again to get gel x nails and it was so disappointing. My nails were severely damaged - I had to go to urgent care & another salon to get them repaired. The salon I went to said this was the worst they have ever seen & I must get my money back! I’m talking damaged cucitcles and nail beds- not to mention when trying to fix my nails the extensions just popped off.
The receptionist was extremely rude when I told her I emailed off three website “we don’t ever check that” oh okay… so you don’t do your job?
This nail salon chose profit over booking qualified nail techs for services. I am so disappointed. Do not come here for gel x. There are many other places that are better...
Read moreWent to Noire on Sunday and was happy that they were open and accommodating. Host was polished and spoke proper English. Was taken to someone to remove my old gel and prep me for the fill. I asked about pricing and was told it was 45 for liquid gel and 55 for gel- gel. Chose the 55 for a longer lasting result. When I transferred to Mimi she was not able to explain the difference. I paid, tipped and left and the next day most of them are separated from the gel. Went back and closed Mondays, no sign at the door to sustain that, although through the regular schedule it was supposed to be open. Went back on Tuesday and was told this was a fill and their job was just to fill, not to seal the nails with gel and refused to help me out. I left cussing and with a bitter taste in my mouth! Never Noire...
