I'm not usually a guy who posts reviews. Take a look I have zero. But after what I saw last night, and heard from a party shooting their mouth off about having 100k followers and how they'll quote, "destroy this place" I wanted to add the perspective of a regular who's been to Lindburgers many times. I find it unfortunate that people use these reviews to report a false set of events. And having been there last night with the wife and only being a few tables away from the "unhappy" party of 5, what I witnessed was honestly sad.
As the owner points out the review by Danya is inaccurate. But he's actually being very kind about the sad and embarrassing behavior exhibited by so-called adults. I also trust him when he says the meal came out in 17 minutes. Being only 2 table lengths away I can clearly vouch their meal took nowhere near 30 minutes. As for what else I witnessed, I would refer to it as "friendly fraud". And then they couldn't even get out their own way to receive that. The waitress was attentive to their needs, and didn't do anything we saw or heard that warranted the treatment she got and she must have apologized too many times to count, literally. Which brings me to the remarks about the manager.
Usually when someone has a legit gripe they don't need to yell and scream like a child to get their point across, let alone have it rectified. Especially at Lindburgers. However, after the extremely silly and child like behavior directed at the waitress it was the manager, Helen's turn. As I've know Helen for some time and have seen her comp things for people over the years before, I don't have to be there to know she attempted to handle it professionally. But, since I was there, the problem was the "unhappy" diners that couldn't even explain their gripe one person at a time. Rather, like angry children on the playground all 5 started by yelling at her and making sure she couldn't get a word in edgewise. It really was like a room full of third graders, but only 5 people. They were all high-volume, bashing their experience and couldn't even extend the manners to each other to speak one at a time. Not to mention the youngest of the group wanted to make sure everyone knew just what a clown he was, too. This is how I know it was all a sham complaint, halfway through the "complaining" the two eldest of the party of five finally started asking the three younger loud mouthes to let it go and calm down. So you'd think they'd cop a clue since it came from their own party. The solid proof came when they asked, why didnt you just offer us desert? She tried, you couldnt close the grease covered lips long enough to let her. And then even after all the immature belittling and sharply toned threats about leaving a bad review, she still gave them coupons for their next visit. And then after truly embarrassing themselves acting like spoiled rotten teenagers and receving "something" like they pathetically whined for, they run home and leave a bs review & claim things occurred that no one else saw occur. Funny, I'm pretty sure I don't see 100k followers anywhere. Bottom line is Lindburgers is a great place to eat and sometimes things happen. No life is perfect, no outing is perfect every time. There's no need to hammer on the waitress or the manager. These folks are the perfect example of what's going wrong in society. You should always remain civil. One, you get what you want way faster, two no one wants to be treated poorly over a mistake they're willing to fix, is that how you want to be treated if roles reversed? Especially when you consider we're talking about a meal, not running their family pet over type of a mistake. I know the wife and I will be back, Helen is amazing, the staff is amazing and the food is great 9 times out of 10. If perfect existed we'd all go there. It doesn't & you can't go wrong with Lindburgers. Excellent overall place & I've seen Helen hand comps for unhappy guests who went about the problem the right way. I wonder what last night's unhappy campers...
Read moreLook The place is busy especially on a Friday night. I can't argue that it's very popular. It's just not my cup of tea.
This place attracts a much older crowd. To be honest I really never like this place but my mother wanted to go here before the theater because she thought it may be quicker. It wasn't. It was packed with the geriatric crowd which can be quite frustrating if you are not patient. Service was poor. Food was slow to come out and I'm not one who usually complains about this. While the french fries were hot and good, the onion rings were just greasy. The quality of the hamburgers was missing. I don't know how to explain the patty but it feels like a bunch of tiny tough pieces of hamburger meat packed together. It's very industrial and nothing like you would cook at home. Maybe it's too lean a grade of beef? Unfortunately I can't explain it or put my finger on it but it was not enjoyable for me. Also the buns denied appear to be really good quality buns. They're not soft and they absorb too much juice and fall apart.
For whatever reason the place is packed and a lot of people do love it. It's just not my cup of tea and I was very disappointed overall. It's the kind of meal where it's calories just for calories and after you're done you ask yourself why did I even eat that. Just typical annoying stuff like they bring out the onion rings as an appetizer without any plates for anybody. They don't refill drinks. You have to ask for mayonnaise specifically and it takes forever for it to come out like nobody else ever asked for that. So when the meal was finished I told my mother I will never come back here again and she agreed.
Some positives. It appears like it's in a new building and it's much nicer than the old restaurant they had. It's a little bit more upscale. They have a happy hour but it's kind of like a secret thing that you have to know about. They don't tell you any prices or anything but the waitress or what drinks so I'm going to be...
Read moreMe and 12 other adults and two children with their last night. The waitress came over my buddy gave her $10 and said we're going to have a 14 people.
