Ordered carpet FIVE weeks ago. Installer shows up yesterday alone, paperwork says theyâll move anything purchased at a furniture store. Okay great, now I have to help the tech move furniture. The tech was short two square yards of carpet when we specifically had the lady in flooring call (the sub they hire) to double check they included carpet for our mezzanine step up before paying and finalizing our order at the desk. So we agreed hey, install the rest of the carpet and you can come back & finish the closet/future bar. Halfway through the install the carpet is two different shades down the middle of the room at the seam. CFI (the sub) tells me 5-6 weeks before they can order & have someone out with the carpet offering no alternatives. I ask what about in stock carpets at Home Depot. They have me call this store and the store says come in to see what we have. I find a carpet in stock thatâs not as good as our initial order but that will suffice given weâve been waiting over five weeks to utilize our basement which is the largest room in the house. Iâm told 4-6 weeks. Whatâs the point of asking me to come into the store if you canât install in stock carpet any faster? Manager offers no solutions. No discount off the job for wasting my day off work, no ability to move the job up on the schedule for the inconvenience. Just take it or leave it. He then says they can put me on a pull forward list & that it works. We were on the pull forward list for the last five weeks and it didnât move a single day. I told them to cancel my order & get whatever stuff the tech left in my basement as Iâll take my business elsewhere. Now CFI & Home Depot wonât give me a time they can get the materials out of my basement. So in short, I paid $1800 to wait over FIVE WEEKS only for my basement to have pieces of carpet and padding that are different colors just sitting on my floor. They need a zero...
Read moreI may have just gone to Home Depot for the last time. Within the past year I have spent approx $18,000 at this location. I have always been quite happy with the products and service. Not now. Yesterday I went in to buy (not look for/shop) a belt sander and had to beg an employee to show me where they were and chase him around the aisles to ask a question. I kinda blew it off as him having a bad day and went over to Lowes and bought the new belt sander. Today my wife and I went back to buy an area rug and couldn't find anyone in that department to answer questions or show us where to find a pad etc. Must have been shift change because the woman in that dept sat and mumbled through her mask and watched her daughter/relative play games on her phone whilst sitting on the other chair! We found a rug and a COURTEOUS young man loaded it on the cart. He also asked if we had everything. He deserves to be working with better people. Here is the kicker - at the register they denied me a military discount because I don't have the app. They denied me a Michigan Builders license discount because I don't have the app. I do have my Michigan drivers license with Veteran stamped on it, I do have my Contractor's License with me, and I do have the card I used to pay for, and get discount, on about $20,000 in the past 14months. AND I do have a smart phone. What I don't have is the common sense to realize that 2yrs 11months 13days and 5 hours of Army service from 1962 to 1965 does not trump having a smart phone with the app on it. I am blessed to have sufficient means to not HAVE to have their discount. Lowes and Menards are not...

I ordered a door on September 3rd. I received a notification that day telling me the estimated delivery date was October 6. I waited patiently checking the order online seeing it continue to confirm the delivery date as October 6th, until on October 6th I received another email that said it was delayed. No issue logistics happen but the email had no details on timeline or new estimated delivery date. So I waited patiently, until I called on October 12 it took me 5 different calls to get help, at which point they told me it was just delayed they would open a âcaseâ and get me an answer in 48hrs. Then they told me if I wanted to know what was happening I would have to call the vendor myself to find out. My issue with this is I didnât order from the vendor I ordered from Home Depot, why am I having to call another party. Anyways I waited the 48hrs to receive an answer on my case, surprise surprise I heard nothing. So I called back on the 16th at which point I was informed my case had just been created that day. So not only was nothing being done but I was blatantly lied to when I was told they were starting my case. I was again informed they would have to start a case and give me an answer in 48 hrs. The service I received was worse than the teenagers I deal with at McDonaldâs. I do not recommend ordering anything from Home Depot the service is horrible and the communication is a joke! Take your business else where, to where someone will actually be willing...
