Usually I don't leave reviews but.... I stopped by to see if they had any cute pokemon merch on clearance, and we passed the PS5 controllers. My fiance had just read an IGN article about Sony increasing the prices on all dual sense controllers with the release of the PS5 pro, and we were discussing it while browsing.
Out of nowhere, an employee (tall, blonde) loudly interjects that the prices for controllers have never changed and have always been the rate that was displayed. She was basically arguing with him while he tried to explain that he wasn't talking about this store, and she kept interrupting him and insisting he was wrong (girl was seriously arguing with her whole chest, it wasn't that deep).
I hate to sound like a Karen, but seriously I don't think I've ever had an interaction with someone like this in a store. It was uncomfortable, and usually we both enjoy talking about gaming with people. I used to frequent the store on brinker and had plenty of friendly and enjoyable conversations with staff about the state of the industry.

Read moreWent in there to get a couple games for my kids that I had in there with me and the girl in there asked for my number for the membership and she saw I needed to renew, which was fine and I paid that, then I ask to put some money down on a game and she tells me I need to show my ID to put a down payment on a game cause it's a rated R game, so I can renew a membership without an ID but I can't put money on a game without an ID cause it's rated R, so I'm trying to figure out and asking why is it I can't put money down on a game without a ID and she gets mad and tells me that's our policy and says swipe your card or leave! Last time I checked a customer is allowed to ask why they can't do something that clearly is wrong, all I was trying to do is put money down on a game as I have many times before not buy it right then and never have had to show an ID to put money on a game, only when you actually pick up the game. Sales pitch isn't as aggressive as other stores either, you can actually look around without being distracted. It's a good store if you're into video games, uneven better store if you're MLG Pro Status. The experience of this GameStop is relevant reactions of the Tomb Raider reboot.
