To be clear before I vent, I am a regular at this location. Tonight was a bad experience and had to bring to the light the situation after reading the last review. We arrived an hour before closing to what was already a mess. We ordered and waited 35mins for our subs. During my wait I watch a crew member slip together my tuna. My sandwich tasted accordingly ... like tuna out of a can with very little dressing or sit time; literally still chunks of pink tuna, the usual flavor was lacking and the provolone was missing. My daughters sub had a long black hair in it. In fear of waiting another 30mins, she removed the hair and had to pick thru the rest of her sub to eat it. Neither of was not happy but didnât want to wait longer. 2 of the 3 working had long hair but the man preparing the food had his hair dangling all over. I overheard the same crew member that mixed my tuna say theyâd been backed up since 5p. Seems they need some help... or a manager because of the 3 there, it was not clear who was in charge. There was a time I went to Firehouse purely for the quality experience but it continues to go down. I donât know if Iâll return to this store. Very...
Read moreMy family and I decided to dine in on Sunday afternoon for dinner. It had been several years since we ate at Firehouse Subs, and our previous experiences were all very positive. However, there were a few issues during this visit. I was surprised to see very few patrons eating at what should have been a busy time during peak dinner hours (5:30pm - 6:00pm). There were approximately 4-5 employees who seemed to be standing on the prep line just waiting for customers - and they weren't very cheerful (at least in appearance). My son ordered a sub without certain toppings, however the sub had all the toppings we asked them not to add. My wife used the restroom and there was no toilet tissue. The drink machine mixtures were all off - none of the drinks tasted like they should (too much carbonation and very little flavor - everything tasted like club soda). The restaurant wasn't as clean as I'm used to for a Firehouse Subs. Everything rises and falls on leadership - there seems to be something wrong at this location. No cohesion and poor performance in several key areas. It might be time for an...
Read moreThis is my go-to one-stop shop for pickle buckets. Pretty incredible deal, donate 2 bucks to their charity and get a 5-gallon pickle bucket. You don't even have to use them for pickles, we got 4 or 5 at home now and we use em for all sorts of stuff, ones we have a plant in, another I use as a bathtub for the baby, and just last week I converted one of the buckets into a homemade keg and am brewing up some barley wine using leftover bread from Firehouse - I'm thinking of calling it Firehouse Subwine; maybe we could work together on this. Staff there are friendly and give prompt service, the sandwiches are delicious, and the hot sauce variety rules, but we definitely come for the buckets mainly.
Oh and I didn't even mention the best part, since the money for the buckets technically goes to charity -- you don't have to pay taxes anymore, it gets written off! Good food, versatile bucket, and a huge tax credit?! Why there isn't always a line out the door of the place,...
