Generally, I don’t like leaving bad reviews. I feel particularly bad when it’s a small business, but I feel I need to let other potential customers know what they’re walking into.
Pros: -I thought my appointment was at 1:30, and so I arrived at 1:20 thinking I was early. I was advised that my appointment was actually at 1:00, but was swiftly accommodated none-the-less.
-The woman whom did my pedicure was pleasant as the woman that did my partner’s pedicure.
Cons: -My pedicure lasted maybe twenty minutes and the water was lukewarm. I asked her to add some hot water three times, and was either ignored or not understood.
-The hot stone and massage portion of my pedicure was incredibly soft, but I understand some people prefer it that way.
-I asked if they had the ability to add an extension to my nails for the dip. The woman said no, but then I later saw they were adding extensions to another woman’s nails…?
-If you’re looking for dip nails that are white, avoid #107. Once she put the final coat on them, they were obviously ballerina sparkly pink. I asked her for the Dip Book to show her that they were pink and showed her they were more similar to #115. Three women tried to gaslight me into that the color on my nails was white. Picture included for reference.
-After they’d completed a less-than-satisfactory job on my nails, the woman had the audacity to harass me for a tip… even after I gave her a $10 cash tip.
I don’t know if they ultimately just didn’t care about us because we were initially late, but I would have rather they told us to reschedule or wait than give me (not so much my partner) subpar service. There was no real apology, no offer to fix their mistake, no off of any kind of discount. Needless to say, I...
Read moreI normally I’m not a big review poster, but I still made SURE I remembered my technician’s name so I could leave a review about her.
This was my first time at B Nails & not only did I show up on the wrong day for my appointment because I read my calendar wrong, but I also showed up with extremely extremely short nails. I pick at them when I’m stressed and have for as long as I can remember, but it’s better when I can get my nails done regularly. That being said, I’ve had a lot of experiences with other salons making me feel embarrassed for them or just telling me to stop biting/picking them & they’ll grow out (as if I haven’t thought of that already) so sometimes I feel awkward during manicures and don’t keep up with them as as much as I probably should.
Not only did Jin squeeze me in on a busy Saturday, (despite MY mistake showing up on the wrong day) but she was also the sweetest manicurist I’ve ever had and truly did a beautiful job with my nails and gave me a great and relaxing experience.
My natural nail length very clearly made her job a lot harder (tips were not sticking, prep took longer, etc.), but she never once made me feel bad about it and told me not to worry & just come back in if I have an issue with any of them because she’s worried they may not stay as long as they normally would if my nails were longer.
She was so funny (literally made me laugh out loud a few times) and so sweet and so talented and the energy in the salon is so relaxing and happy and lighthearted and never once did I feel awkward or embarrassed. I am so grateful to Jin & her team and I will definitely be back at B Nails. This experience genuinely made my week and I seriously cannot recommend this...
Read moreI came in today for a polish change, gel removal and application of regular nail polish. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for my service. In removing the gel, my nails were left brittle, torn up, and very textured with significant amounts of gel base coat remaining on the nail and some of the original gel left behind. She then went in with the blue tip color on my naked nails, I asked if she was going to buff out the scratches or put on a base coat to which she replied she would do so later. After the tips were complete, I pointed out where they were uneven, pieces missing, and the “ombré” like effect from painting then removing the color without a base coat. She said the pink would fix everything and cover it up. Throughout the manicure I told her that I wasn’t happy, pointed out errors, and told her I didn’t like it. She was very defensive and made me feel uncomfortable when I explained my concerns. Additionally the whole staff was cleaning up and I could tell they were waiting for me to leave so they could go home (I was not late, I didn’t add on any services, the co ode to schedule me 45 minutes before close). I ultimately left stating that I wasn’t happy and didn’t like my nails, but was still charged. I don’t think it’s a client’s responsibility to point out air bubbles, brush strokes, and uneven layers in the polish or just sloppy French tips. I ended up crying, calling my aunt, removing them as soon as I got home, and getting them redone later tonight. Not worth the effort and...
