Grant-Humphreys Mansion — Attraction in Denver

As a person who actually attended a wedding at this event I can't help but warn people against this vanue. This is a very limited venue with small capacity and the catering companies that ate preferred suck. Don't fall for the "extra" rooms they claim hold extra people. The extra rooms will not hear any speeches and feel second class citizens at best. The acoustics only work for the main room. The food from colorado catering sucks and is extra skimpy along with the bar tenders who only fill the glasses half way. One of the worst weddings I went to. I only stated for family, if it were a friend's wedding I would have left. The parking is terrible, the catering is terrible, the space is beyond dissapointing since it advertises they can hold a lot, but in reality if you care about your invitees you wouldn't choose this venue since many who bought expensive gifts can barely...

It's a beautiful house and grounds. However, I wish the renovations that were done in the last 20 years did not make it look so modern. Almost all of the antique furnishings are gone, modern lighting was installed in the house throughout, and places that must have once been beautiful, like the ballroom, are now very plain and contemporary-looking. Things that made the home really unique, like the indoor bowling alley, were ripped out. The caretakers would do well bring back some of the historic character of the house with antique furnishings, decor, wall coverings, and lighting. This could be done in a tasteful way, while continuing to facilitate events. In the meantime, if you really want to see a beautiful old mansion as it appeared in its heyday, tour the Molly...

We had an absolutely amazing experience with the Grant-Humphrey Mansion for our wedding. The location was perfect, the price was incredible, and the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous - it provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. Most ceremonies are outside so I wanted to highlight how beautiful and special an indoor ceremony was.

The staff was also lovely to work with. Rita and John both dealt with all my concerns and questions with such care and grace and I am so grateful for them. Another plus for this venue how LGBTQ+ friendly this venue was through every step of the process. Weddings are a very gendered industry and it was a breath of fresh air.
