Fontana Sushi (6th Ave) — Restaurant in Denver

I wanted to reach out directly to the restaurant but couldn't find any contact information besides a number to the restaurant. Anyway, I'm leaving a review here to get their attention.

My wife and I ordered $50+ of sashmi and rolls from Fontana on 6th ave Wednesday evening. It was really bad, and we had to throw it out. I believe the staff knew that the fish was old and attempted to compensate with generous servings, but that didn't matter much when the meal was borderline inedible. Disappointing because we live in the neighborhood and had a positive first experience previously. Maybe this was a one-off experience, but we'll at least be avoiding the restaurant around closing during the middle...

I’ve had the great fortune of growing up eating sushi in south Florida. Moving to Denver, I had been miserable trying to find a sushi place with fresh fish, a high-quality fish to rice ratio, etc. I kept finding trashy places with rolls that just all have krab, cream cheese, are all fried, just spicy tuna, or wasn’t over the top pricey… But this place is the best place hands down for great quality sushi and rolls. I can’t speak to the other menu items, except I think their shumai and clear soup are delish. I also do takeout or delivery much more often, but the staff is always incredibly friendly when I’ve dined in. This is definitely the best go to for real sushi connoisseurs who eat sushi...

My friend took me to this small sushi restaurant. Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to take photos of our food, so you’ll have to wait until next time for pictures. The service is great so I would give a five star for that, even if they’re not a smiley bunch. They’re courteous and extremely attentive. By that I mean, you’re plate is going to be gone on your last bite’s airlift to your mouth. As I said, the service is great! The food tasted as good as you will find, perhaps, for that price. I mean if you’re a sushi regular, you may find it less appealing In comparison to the high-end and higher-priced sushi. But if you’re there for a quick lunch,...
