I live in the area so I order from Tikka & Grill often. However, after this most recent experience it is unlikely I’ll order from them again unless I go in person and wait around for the order, which in the past I haven’t enjoyed doing because I could be waiting 30+ minutes.
Their food is usually quite good. Flavor wise and authenticity wise, I usually enjoy it. I’ve been to India and other countries where I’ve had their authentic cuisine and I believe they come quite close to it. For this reason, I have returned to eat their food. However, there are inconsistencies in quantity of food portions and if you choose to order delivery, at times the quality of the food also reduces.
Most recently, due to being unwell, I have had to order food for delivery since I cannot drive. I ordered through UberEats which offered a buy one get one free special. I paid $41 for this meal, expecting to receive a second order. My delivery was of just one. I called the restaurant and explained my situation and was told I’d receive a call back. They did not call me back. I called back again, and they hung up on me. I tried to reach UberEats and they told me there was nothing they could do. There is no way I would have paid $41 for this dinner, as that’s double the amount of what it would have cost if I went in the restaurant. Not only that this was mediocre (another instance with a smaller portion size than if I ordered take out or if I ate inside), and I was upset by the service received. This is the second time an issue with delivery has occurred, and that’s enough strikes for me to no longer trust that they will make wrongs right. I can often understand a mistake the first time, but I won’t continually be fooled.
It’s a real shame when restaurants are inconsistent in this way and treat customers poorly when they are not in your presence. I have ordered from them at least once a week, and I just can’t trust that going forward they would do the right thing. I live in a huge complex and my neighbors trust my advice on restaurants around Denver as I am a major foodie, but I sadly cannot recommend this place for...
Read moreMy brother and I came here in the later evening. We were greeted and seated right away. Our water was brought out immediately and they even put a lovely little orange slice in it and brought us out a complementary crisp type thing with dipping sauces that were all excellent. For an appetizer we got the veggie samosas. Fried to perfection. Crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on. We ordered the lamb vindalu, tandoori chicken, garlic and cheese naan. Entree come with perfectly cooked basmati rice. We were even offered more if needed. The flavor of the food was unreal. The spices just perfect in the lamb. I had to keep myself from licking the bowl. The naan thankful got most of it up so no need for bad table manners! And the chicken. It was so fresh. The skin crisp and meat so tender. I could not stop eating. There was nothing left from this delicious meal. We were also brought out rice pudding on the house. It was not overly sweet, perfect for end of the meal. Our server definitely added to our experience. Roma was attentive, kind, and friendly. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I can’t wait to visit Colorado again so I...
Read moreI initially was not going to leave a review as per telling the store owner, however after being charged $64.00 for food that was horrendously bad after being told he would take off half due to the poor quality. The Chicken Tikka Masala was abysmal, more like a rotten butter chicken so heavy on cream it took out the flavor and to correct we were given chili spice on the side to try and doctor it up ourselves. My Chicken vindaloo had little to no spice after asking for the spiciest possible I've been eating curry for years from authentic Indian chefs from England to LA to now here in Colorado. My Wife, Kids and I were talking, and excited to travel to another city to eat here per the reviews left and either we were given their worst product as a once off mistake or perhaps the majority of reviews left haven't had actual authentic Indian cuisine and this is what they believe it is. My regards to this establishment I hope they take this feedback and bring the roots back to their flavor profile and give the customer the quality that we are paying for. P.S the staff was amazing reason I still tipped...
