How does this place have so many reviews? I went in on a Saturday evening and was the only person in there (now I know why). Never coming back, and would like to prevent someone else from making the same mistake I did and throw money away.
First bad sign: no customers. It's pretty easy to tell when you go to a good dispensary, because there is usually a wait. Not here.
Second bad sign: Bait and switch their buds. I only shop for flower. They have big giant containers they initially let you smell. Of the 6 or 7 strains, I looked at 5 of them. None were any good. I ended up going with an 8th of the best I could find, since I was fresh out. The guy gives me a sticker and sends me off to the adjacent counter to the "inventory" area, where they fill your order - like a pharmacy. Inventory guy opens up the bottle for the customer's approval, and it was full of pop corn buds, nothing like what the budtender has. Not only was it tiny little pop corn buds, but the quality is just awful. Smokes terrible too. Really surprised to be honest, with all the good reviews and it still being somewhat new and all. You'd think they would want to make a better name for themselves at the start.
They also mention $30 eights on their menu, but it's actually $38 out the door. Another sketchy feature. For BEASTERS mind you. Just really poor quality buds, I must have been in when they didn't have anything good available - which is another reason why this place sucks. If it's so hit or miss, why even bother?
At the end of the day, I came out with a $38 eighth of beasters. I smoked two bowls and gave the rest to my roommate it was so bad.
Pretty sad this is what Colorado has to offer people in 2016. I'm actually pretty shocked they can even get away with selling herb this bad. But I'm the moron who decided to buy it, so joke's...
Read moreFirst, this is my neighborhood store. It's closer than a couple of my other usual haunts and open late (945 Sun-Thu and 1045 on F/Sat). Bonus points for that. Small but adequate parking lot. It is recreational only, no medical. ATM on site and they take debit/credit.
Second, I only buy 3rd party products. The one big knock on LS is that their in-house flower (rebranded Equinox) is notoriously not great. They've failed multiple tests and had recalls because of that. My experiences are pre-pandemic and not great. This is why they lose 1 star.
That said, I've had great experiences here. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Service is generally quick and everyone knows what they're doing. No money issues or issues with the wrong product being given. You can order online for priority in the line but this requires uploading your ID to their ordering website.
The range of products is good. They've got most of the top flower (710, GDL, etc.) and a variety of options at different prices for all shoppers. Concentrates, carts, edibles, etc. They also offer discounts on most of these products for medical card holders, veterans, seniors, and industry workers (15%).
I've also had exceptional customer service. One incident I had a broken flower jar and the store replaced it, no problem. Another was less of an incident, but due to work and demand, I was missing a 420 deal. They reached out and hooked up an order so I could purchase as part of the sale. Unasked. Just offered to help ensure I got my medicine for a good price.
4 out of 5. I'm able to get flower at reasonable but not amazing prices. I'm treated kindly and in an orderly fashion. It's close by, and the staff is great. Special...

Not only is this place super customer service driven, but the process was super simple. Kelli, the front desk attendant, was very accommodating. We got our product, a bud tender was super helpful in helping us find what strand we preferred, and overall the experience was great for my first time in a dispensary in Colorado. Thank you, Lightshade!
1st Edit: This review was made at the time when I first moved to colorado and they were a great store with plenty of diversity but now that lightshade has had a change of employment the energy that USED to be there has been drained. Everyone in the store is sales focused and no matter how many times I go in there to use my loyalty points they always seem to have an issue with it. The employees just seem to always want to get angry or defensive with any question you ask. The very kind employee that I mentioned in my original review has been removed from the store. I speculate the manager ran her out due to a conversation I had with her but I am not sure. While this location might bribe you with good deals and great offers, they are no longer the good vibe place it once was. The ONLY reason I give this place a 2 star instead of 1 is because of their BOGO deals. If i ambeing totally honest though you aren't really getting a BOGO deal if you still have to pay 1 cent to get the product but I digress.
2nd Edit: I will say this place has shapened up a bit since my last review and this location is no longer ran by Lightshade and are instead referred to as "Fired Cannabis". Pretty much the same roster of employees but I am more satisfied with the changes that...
